QuoteKeefFan2003 There are some great european younger bands out and around. Fontaines D.C. come to my mind. Saw them in their N. American tour opener in Washington D.C. just over 2 weeks ago. Awesome. IMO currently the best punk band in the world... tho Amyl and the Sniffers are great too. For anyone inclined to check them out, I recommend A Hero's Death (2020) and their debut Dogrel (20

I didn't go to a whole lot of live music in my middle years. Retired now, I'm enjoying making up for some of that.

Quotedaspyknows Quotesnoopy2 Samantha Fish She shreds on guitar and better than any of the openers I saw on the last tour (Glorious Sons, Ghost Hounds & Maneskin). Also nice on the eyes. Would be happy to see her open a few shows. Will see her again when she passes through my area. I see Samantha Fish as an ideal opener for a Stones concert. I told her as much after a show in November.

Dove Cameron is a Disney Machine product I'd never heard of until this appearance on Jimmy Fallon April 20. I like her new (and only) hit, Boyfriend. And I really like this performance of it.

QuoteHairball Toots and Jimmy Cliff...tip of the iceberg....great indeed, but there's SO much more....you gotta dig around deeper...loads of good things beneath the surface... QuoteKeefFan2003 Fontaines DC in luxembourg in 6 days ! Cant wait for that, they've become my favourite new band during lockdown and are actually my first concert after two and a half years. It will be great. They're my next show too. April 21 at their 2022 opener over here, the 9:30 Club in DC. That's District of Columbia D.C., not Dublin City D.C. If you like Fontaines DC...

Just don't be surprised if Tom Tull buys one or more opening slots in Europe, too. He's a movie industry billionaire. Legend Studios of Dark Knight Trilogy fame was his; he's sold it, cashed out, since. He assembled the late 2018-to-date Ghost Hounds, I believe, for his own ego gratification, specifically to open for the Rolling Stones. Like fantasy baseball camp, except much more

Wolf Alice has postponed their 18-date U.K. tour that was scheduled for this month. 17 of the 18 shows were sold out. As of right now they haven't pulled the plug yet on their Feb-March continental Europe tour dates. (Grateful I got to see them Nov 15 & 16 in DC. Those shows and almost the entire U.S. tour was also sold out.)

Bruce is 72 and a millionaire many times over. He's already long been able to do anything he wants. What is he going do now with an additional half a billion dollars suddenly plopped in his lap? Is he going to set up his heirs as part of America's aristocracy of the wealthy for generations to come? Because that always turns out so well. **sarcasm** That would likely resul

Thanks... heading right over to the local B&N. I like that cover shot, and had recently been musing that the 2022 album cover probably will be something like it. All four of them, with Charlie forefront. But a shot from the past decade, of course. And one with Charlie smiling.

Quotejoshbg2k They are offset lithographs - a mechanical process that allows for large, fast print runs. It’s the same process used to create most “posters”. Except for a number there is no difference between the posters sold at the show and the ones sold online. Anything can be numbered. A number alone does not suggest anything about how a print was made. These are most definitely not serigraphs

I'm not all that big on monochrome art. We may be lucky the Hollywood FL artist (and Vegas artist too) bothered to use a little black and white here and there to relieve the monotony.

Nice pics! I'll expand my observation to, on the Hollywood FL building the placement of the tongue was not accidental either. The HR promoters did the biggest part of the litho artist's job for him or her.

Living In A Ghost Town was a hit. That might have been largely for what were the weirdest reasons of any Rolling Stones hit ever; certainly it was helped along by the most tragic of reasons ever. But music is a business as well as an art, and a hit's a hit. So no matter what the rest of the band's final studio album does, or doesn't do, there's already one hit in the bag

QuoteRockman Yeah if the Stones surrounded the venues with water & vegan food vans/stalls the stampedes would diminish ... Somebody (was it bv?) tracked down the beer the uber-health-conscious Mick was drinking outside the Charlotte dive, and it was non-alcoholic. Maybe he'll start choosing the food & beverage vendors too.
