On BTX's "Who Bought All The Tickets?" thread, after several days of puzzling myself, and reading, posted (in my usual, internet-unfriendly long-form writing style) the following; ____________ Trying to sort out a broad picture here, this is my impression at this stage, tho with more shoes yet to drop, I'm sure. * Verified Fans did get many, many tickets at the now-hi

They'd given their "We've Unleashed The Price-Jacking Kraken" warning at 10:20. At 10:30 I didn't find any good standard price tix left, and bought nothing. Quoteschillid I live in New Jersey but I don't care for Bruce Springsteen's music. Is that wrong? No. And -- as yet --still not encoded in NJ state law that you must be a Bruce fan to remain a resident there. I get that he doesn't fit every rock fan's tastes. Too much the over-earnest romantic, he strikes many as self-important as an artist, and cheesy. If any of us

So, still no word yet on if Berlin's even going to have a support act? A tweet by a Nikki who was at Hyde Park 1: "listen lads the stones were f*cking amazing and all but we happened upon the @DreamWifeMusic set about halfway thru and I danced my wee heart out for the rest of it. "Screaming those hooks back at the stage was cathartic as f*ck. "new fan for real&qu

Quotemajomuc I like the Schiele reference. It's certainly not everyone's taste, but special anyway. The Schiele looks not unlike a 1930s comic book panel by an artist named HGPeter, who later drew Wonder Woman in Sensation and Wonder Woman comics in the 1940s.

Quotecrholmstrom ...The last time I saw Bruce was the River tour a few years ago. Unreal good show. He played almost 4 hours with a lot of Darkness material in the non River portion. I have a hard time convincing myself that he's going to top that show.... By the time I saw "The River Tour" in Sep 2016 they'd burned out on playing The River and morphed it into The Pre-Rive

QuoteIrix QuoteTheBluesHadaBaby These all have some point or element of reference to the city. What's this one's? 1915 - "Kollektiv-Ausstellung: Egon Schiele, Wien" (Vienna) Galerie Arnot: Austrian expressionist painter Egon Schiele (1890–1918) - . Aha. So at least the concert poster isn't a bad take on good art. The original source material sucked, too.

QuoteNashvilleBlues No Nashville? Don’t they know how cool we are now? Haha! Kidding. Looking at Atlanta. Maybe he's got Nashville pencilled in as 1st stop when he does his Tom Joad/Devils&Dust-style lonesome soloist tour for Western Stars. I put down Greensboro, DC, and Baltimore and expect I'll be going to one of those. Two at most.

The choices they offer, as time goes on, become ever more limited to mid-tempo or even ballads. Real rockers being more physically taxing, which they feel less able to add any more of in a show now. I feel like we were lucky to still get the option of Rocks Off in 2019 in DC. And, thankfully, we took it

QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteTheBluesHadaBaby Far Away Eyes Was disappointed we couldn't make that happen in Nashville. Played it in Nashville in 2015. Missed it by just six years. Which of course in "Stones' time" is nothing. I agree Brussells isn't going to hear it, that at their very luckiest they'll get Beast of Burden. But I'm kinda curious how

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Is it an actual book with hard covers, or just a manuscript form? I can't see the picture either. Any details, or pix would be great!! Actual book, with covers, but IDK if hard or soft. 4 posts up ErwinH -- a different Erwin from the author -- posted a pic of it. I don't have one yet but did just order one.

Congratulations! This past Tuesday, July 5th, was the 50th anniversary of the show I saw. In Norfolk, Virginia's Scope. I was lucky enough to have a high school classmate whose father was a city official and could get tix for a few of us. I don't think I would of had a chance of getting in otherwise, the demand for the tickets, everywhere, was on a scale never seen before. I st

DISC TWO 20 yrs ago I wasn't closely following what the Stones were up to -- not like I had during two spells even earlier in my life -- and had never looked into this release at all until I saw it used in the record store when I was buying the new Licked Live bluray. Guessing somebody probably just traded it in when they bought Licked Live themselves. I'm sure

Was wondering if RAMMSTEIN is open for the Berlin show. No, dammit. Aug 3 (&4) they're in Belgium finishing up their own European tour. Might've been a challenge accommodating their set production on the Stones' stage. I wonder if that could've been worked out? What a night in Berlin that would be... Rammstein + The Rolling Stones. I've learned a lot about Thomas Tull since spring 2019... given lots of "listens" into his world to try to discern who TF this guy is, and am sure I now know more about this billionaire than I've ever known (or will ever want to) about any other. He comes across well in most contexts. By "well" I mean, while of course sufficiently ruthless to become a self-made b

QuoteRisingStone The day after HP #1, I moved to Birmingham to catch Rammstein at the Building Society Arena (formerly Ricoh Arena) in Coventry. As I walked towards my hotel near city centre around four o’clock, I encountered a queue of young people, about 50 meter long, sitting on the pavement by the road. Mostly teenage girls. It turned out they were waiting for the door open for Phoebe Bridger

Do we know yet who opens Lyon and Berlin? Berlin being not a postponement of the Bern date, but a new concert in its own right, I'd think the Stones wouldn't have to use Bern's contracted opener, Thomas Tull's Gho$t Hound$, if they don't want to.
