Nobody knowledgeable is assuring the fully vaxxed that if you still do catch covid, it won't be bad. Merely that your chances of needing to be hospitalized for it are very low, and the chances of it killing you are exceedingly low. Lots of the fully vaccinated who still catch covid delta are being made very miserable by it. And it is still killing some fully vaxxed people, although alm

What's the covid protocol going to be in Nissan Stadium? From what I can tell so far, there essentially isn't one. I had hopes when AEG made its announcement about vaccination or testing for its concert audiences starting Oct 1, but when we sorted that out it applies only in venues AEG operates, and those don't include the stadiums of this tour. Supposedly artists have the op

Hot Rocks' place in my Stones history. My first four Stones albums were 1. Through The Past Darkly. This was the most disturbing looking product to have made it into our conservative southern home at that point. But it had Honky Tonk Women. And, tho just 14, I HAD to have HTW. I'd passed on Let It Bleed because... where's HTW? What is Country Honk? And nobody I knew had the alb

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl I’ve always thought that Charlie and Keith were particularly close - they’ve been together since Keith was a teenager and they’ve shared so much. There used to be a ‘Keith’s side’ of the stage but for years he’s been sticking pretty close to Charlie, and his book and interviews make it clear he adores Charlie. So I’ve been particularly worried about how Keith is dealing with

We've always known a day like this was coming. Now here it is. And, yep. It hurts as much as feared and expected. More. The gentle - to all but drum kits - and modest Charlie is gone. My deep sympathies to his family.

At every show, maybe during the band introductions, I fully expect for Charlie to be projected onto the screens in a brief but live (complete with the usual annoying but minor dialogue delays) video chat with the boys and Steve, and a brief hello-how-are-you to

Chat Time With Charlie... I like that. And I'd sign up for one... Charlie's a lovely man. The "suds" in the toast emoji in this case we'll call whipped cream on mugs

You seem confused on a key element of such theories. They are wrong ideas advanced by people who believe them to be true. I'm anticipating when some such crazy or very gullible people might be claiming this.

So, the No Charlie announcement was Aug. 4. Barely, but Aug. 4. 14 days ago now. How long after Aug 4 do we think the conspiracy theory crowd will insist Paul Is Dead... but Charlie instead of Paul? Somewhere... Reddit, QAnon, wherever. And then when Charlie comes back, "That's not him! That's a body double!" People insist American government is secretly run by Lizard Pe

AEG's decision is awesome news, for the tour and for me. It means two very important things. One, this tour is now almost certain to happen. And two, I won't be sharing tight space in pits in Nashville and Atlanta with people maybe 30% of whom (my own estimates) were going to be unvaxxed. Something I was willing to do to see possibly the Stones' last American tour, but wasn't

At their ages, instead of just their thorough pre-tour check-ups, maybe the band should start adding thorough PRE- pre-tour check-up check-ups, two or three months earlier than the usual pre-tour check-ups. Who knows if that would have found Mick's heart problem in 2019 and Charlie's problem this year... but maybe it might have? It would have been so lovely for Charlie and everybody

I've toyed before with hypothetical scenarios in which one of the four had to step down permanently (and this isn't that situation), but the rest wanted to Keep Calm And Carry On. My "answer" for Charlie retiring permanently was, rename what remains as The Jagger Richards Wood Band, and rock on. But that the Stones name itself be retired... it not seeming right w/o Charlie.
