Music For The Marsden, the all-star charity event at the O2 Arena. For the finale, all but Clapton and Van Morrison turned up and performed All You Need Is Love. All I feel now is — love is not enough.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteRisingStone This is one of those moments when somebody you’ve been thinking is almost done comes back and delivers a big time, and reclaims your respect. What a talent. QuotePlay Number 9, play Number 6 I wonder what these two numbers refer to...given the 60’s connections, the former The Beatles, the latter The Prisoner? Sixes and nines? Also in TD. Ah okay.

Some interesting remark by Jimmy Page; Led Vault: Jimmy Page Talks First Three Led Zeppelin Albums, Gibson and Harmony Guitars and More A debate has raged for many years on what electric guitars were used on the first album. “It’s hard for people to believe, but I just used my Fender Telecaster for the entire album, except for one track. Somebody was trying to sell me a Gibson Flying V a

If they completely withdraw from performing activities in this way, it would be quite anticlimactic isn’t it? I’d rather believe they will do a couple of large scale gigs on their home turf (a la Hyde Park) in next one-two years before they go, even if they don’t resume a full tour. Time will tell.

Returned from Music For The Marsden. Great event that ran over three hours. Eric played three songs backed by the house band (including Robbie McIntosh on guitar and Ian Paice on drums) put together by Gary Brooker — that is, Key To The Highway, Stormy Monday and Crossroads. Then Van Morrison took the stage and sang three of his songs with Clapton playing the guitar. Altogether, their set lasted

I love it. Reminds me of the happy memories I saw the Stones live for the first time at the Three Rivers Stadium, Pittsburg, Sept 6, 1989. Generic? Maybe. Sterile? Mediocre? Crap? Unlistenable? No. Good song in its own right. One of the few modern Stones songs I’d love to hear live one more time, along with Can’t Be Seen, Love Is Strong, Anybody Seen My Baby?, Rough Justice etc.

Quotedaspyknows I didn't get to see anything in the 70's and a few in the 80's. Most of my Clapton show have been from the past 15 years and aside from the London Cream reunion (I didn't attend) there was not a show out of the 50 or so that I have seen that matched this. Ah, that makes sense. Of the more recent years, the 2013 tour is among those I rate better than last

An evening of Cream & Blind Faith re-revisited by Eric & Co. It kind of felt like a combination of the 2005 Cream Reunion and the subsequent years’ Clapton/Winwood tours 2008-2011. Moreover, some songs that weren’t performed on those occasions thrown in — that is, Strange Brew, I Feel Free, Blue Condition and Do What You Like. Also, Tales Of Brave Ulysses had only been revived at the Crea

1341. Re: Happy
Keith already showed a sign of dropping Happy in 2018 No Filter UK/European Tour. Of the 14 shows, it was performed only 3 times — London 2, Coventry and Edinburgh. At Murrayfield Stadium, he made a major cock up during the middle section, an almost train wreck that was narrowly avoided. That was the last time he played Happy on stage to this day. He got the omen then perhaps?

I saw it last night. All I can say is, it would have been a HARD task for anyone to come up with and provide the last pieces that could make sense for the galaxy-sized jigsaw puzzle that is the Star Wars Saga. Kudos to everyone who made it happen, regardless of the end result. My ranking: Empire Strikes Back A New Hope Attack Of The Clones The Phantom Menace Revenge Of The Sith The Force

GHS is neither a turd or a beaut IMHO. Tad overrated in some quarters thanks to the aftermath of the golden four. The album being produced by Jimmy Miller doesn’t necessarily guarantee it is as good as the preceding titles, simple as that. My two cents.

GHS is an acquired taste that never grew on for me. Adventurous but unfocused. It’s Only Rock’n Roll...but I like it. Derivative but enjoyable. TWFNO alone is better than ANY song on GHS IMHO.
