Talking about country, yesterday I installed lastfm on my computer, and set it to play one of the alt.country stations. I've been in awe most of the afternoon, some beautiful songs were played. It is highly recommended, not only to extend your knowledge about bands, but also just to enjoy the music. There's also a folk blues station, also amazing. You can find it here: .

And usually that includes 'bum and out of t

I also enjoy reading Mathijs' posts here. He is very knowledgeable, but also very critcal because he has a good 'musical ear', which most of the other posters here don't. If you don't agree with his opinion, either start a discussion and say why you think he is wrong, or shut up. But don't start attacking him personally on this forum, there are other means to do that

The video where they are in a small room with checkerboard walls. I have no idea what song they were singing, but I remember it very well. It could have been SMU.

Queen's first album is still one of my all time favorite albums. And completely different than the Stones, so incomparable.

I play all my flac files directly with Toast, no need to convert them. That's on a Mac, but I guess there must be similar programs for other operating systems.

The intro to Memory Motel is pretty easy - she should be able to figure that out by listening.

YCAGWYW is open G, capo at 5th. Play the open chord (= actually C) and hammer on/off the 2nd position on the 3rd string, then play the F-chord.

Oh, that Marc Ford I don't disagree that Taylor is a great player and that he may have influenced some great other players. But other than that his influence on rock music is minimal to that of Berry's.

I remember hearing LA Woman on the radio and I was completely blown away. Turned out my parents had the album, and I played it ever since, practising those bluesy licks on my guiter. Only a few years later I discovered the Stones.

8935. Garageband
I have been playing a bit with Apple's Garageband, and it's pretty cool to hack some good sounding music together. I haven't found a good bass and drum yet that I can use to accompany my own guitar. Anyone has a suggestion which preset bass and drums to use? And no, I don't mind if it sounds a bit like the Stones
