QuoteDoxa Let's go on. So Muddy liked "Rollin' Stone"/"Catfish Blues" so much that he wrote totally new lyrics on it, and called it "Still A Fool" (sometimes called as "Two Trains Running"). Here is the 1951 original (Little Walter on second guitar, and, interestingly, Leonard Chess on bass drum supporting him there): Well, now, the

QuoteMathijs In all those 40 years the only footage of Jim I know of was him playing trumpet with a large group of famous and half-famous musicians. If I recall correctly Sheryl Crow was there as well, and they could have played Bitch, but I am not sure. It was around 2008. Jim had turned completely bald, and gained some weight, but look unmistakenly like Jim Price. Mathijs Fanatic versio

A big name in jazz land. I saw her long ago with Jack Bruce and Mick Taylor in 1975, Pinkpop. I could finally lay my hands on the audience recording, recently. Carla was arguably the most inspiring and colourful player at that particular concert. RiP Carla Bley. †

QuoteDandelionPowderman Downtown Suzie is officially released. The blues version of Love In Vain could have been a contender, along with these tracks: You mean Brian Jones instead of Rye Cooder on "Sister Morphine"?

Quotestraycatuk I can't think of anyone to compare her to . A unique talent. She's made some amazing music sc uk Indeed. Tori Amos is the only one that I can think of who was clearly influenced by her. Amos said in an interview that it was too much of a compliment for her to be compared with Kate Bush. A humble statement.

QuoteKoen QuoteSpud Not sure Keith said very much new or surprising...but an enjoyable read none the less. Yeah, my thoughts as well.It must be difficult to come up with an original and interesting question for him. I don't think any of the Stones members said something surprising anyway, right from the beginning, in 1962. The surprising news comes (came) from the people that were around

QuoteKingbeebuzz I don’t think there is any film of him on stage pre 1969.....but I haven’t checked Charlie Is My Darling.....I believe he used to play in the wings (edge of stage but out of sight of most of the audience). You could also explore the NME Poll Winners concert footage from 1965, that was a big wide and deep stage and he may just possibly be at the back, he was certainly present s
