The '76 inst a coincidence, I also 46. Probably why we both like VL so much. Came out August 94 after High School graduation and right before Freshman year of College. I'll paraphrase something Jerry Garcia once said. For about 3 weeks in the Summer of 1967 the world was perfect, I just wish I would have known then that things would never be that perfect again. Not really a Dead fan but

VL13-First always enjoyed your posts and anyone who uses Voodoo Lounge as part of a screen name is A#1 in my book. Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to post that in a place where you felt safe to do so and with people you knew would care. I know that wasn't easy but hopefully you feel at least a tiny bit lighter. One day at a time my friend and as others have said, don't look

I agree about the sound. After a couple listens it doesn't sound that bad. Much better then Copa. The first listen it did sound like they were playing in a cave though.

CYHMK has always been one of my favorite songs. I always wanted them to play it live. When they started playing it live in '03 and '04 I kind of understood why they didn't play it live for so many years. You kind of get the idea they don't like the song as well as fans do. In 2015 when they were doing the different Sticky Fingers Songs in rotation someone pointed out that the

Prayers for Mick and everyone involved in the tour. For those already there...make the most of it. Beyond everyone's control. Thanks for the updates everyone.

My Voodoo is on CD. It doesn't jump out to me as badly as Copacabana does. Most bootlegs sound better than Copa IMO.

The only 2 I thought that were really bad were Ladies & Gentlemen and Copacabana. Everything else was fine by me.

Cross Candaian Ragweed was really good. A 90s rock band out of LA called UPO stuck with me. As far as big bands go seeing Radiohead of the Hail to the Thief tour stood out. Seeing Page & Plant was awesome because I never got to see Zeppelin so that was as close as I'll get. The Who when Entwhistle was still alive. Iggy Pop blew me away too. The ones I missed out on were The Replac

NashvilleBlues. Drive By Truckers are another one that mix it up a bit too. Kind of a bit of a rotating formula for them setlist wise. Even if your not familiar with their music their great live. No hate because no need for hate. For 10 years I got to see just about every bamd that came through, IL, IN, WI and IA and a few in MI. Saw a lot of eclectic bands. Some shows I liked some I didn't.

LeonidP I was referring to pre 2000. I didn't disagree that for the last 22 years they have. I've seen PJ multiple times post 2,000 and each show is unique (not always a good thing) My point that seems to be lost was that they were simply following the jam bamd template for setlists that the Dead, Phish, and WSP was doing long before PJ was. That is not debatable. Last time I ever comme

Nashville, if it makes you feel better "I was wrong Pearl Jam are the KINGS of setlists" Cometely unique setlists every night from day One. They even inspired such noted touring roadwarriors like The Grateful Dead and Phish to copy their touring setlist template". On a serious note your obviously a bigger PJ fan then I am. I still have an unopened bottle of their Faithful Ale. If

Saw PJ 7 times in the late 90s. Don't care to look each one. If I rember right they had some sort of formula or rotation where you didn't get the same set in back to back nights. However it was very possible to see a duplicate setlist. On the other hand Widespread Panic and Phish actually kept spreadsheets of setlists so they never played rhe same songs in suspension more than once whic

Man not when I saw PJ in the late 90s. Worked at a radio station from 98-08. I've even seen Pearl Jam shows at Alpine Valley on the Yield tour that clocked in at an hour and 40 minutes long. The Mule at the same time were playing 3 hour shows with different sets nightly. Yes, Binuaral came out in 2000. Typing on a phone at work with 46 year old fingers. Sometimes 2000 comes out as 2020. I wouldn't exactly call PJ the "Kings" they were a bit late to the party but definitely since Binuaral in 2020 they have spent the last 22 years changing up their lists nightly. However, all they did was copy the Jam Band format. The Dead, Phish, Widespread, Moe, Umphrey's McGee, Gov't Mule all did that before PJ. The Black Crowes went through a period where they switched

Kind of hope there is a B Stage or at least a set of Exile songs for its 50th Anniversary. Last year's tour was about as vanilla as the Stones have been which is understandable with Charlie's passing. Hoping this one is at least a little bit more ambitious.

Kind of feel like last tour was the most bland. Understandable without Charlie but even 2019 at least had the 2 unplugged songs in the set. Last year was LIAGT and the same 'ol. To each their own. It would be nice to see them add something new to the 2022 shows. A mini 4 song set to celebrate 50 years of Exile night be nice.

The Replacements-not getting in helps their cause as the underdogs. Plus, can't see Paul or Chris going to the ceremony. Tommy probably would be 50/50. I type this while wearing the Replacements Midway show T-shirt!
