Come on guys. Nothing, absolutely nothing in the advertising says it will be the Stones playing. They only talk about a rock trip and a ROCK concert. You can be sure that if it was supposed to be the real Stones, they would write it with big big letters. This kind of advertising just sucks.

QuoteSam Spade Doesn't Mick own a Ferrari? Yes, and he probably own or owned more than one in his life. The funny thing is that he also drive very ordinary family cars when he stay in his french castle. Like an old grey Peugeot 505 break (station wagon) or a Renault Espace (a kind of french van). Probably when he wants to be as anonymous as possible.

You should tell us more. Where do you live, professionnal or private, which countries do you need to call, traditionnal phones (don't know how you name them in English) or cell phones? I live in France, private use only. I would say that VOIP is not the best solution anymore. We can get internet + unlimited calls to a hundred countries + unlimited calls to a few favorit cell phones for ab

Calimucho. Half red wine, half cocacola. Sounds bad, but in fact it's pretty good and the perfect drink for a hot summer.

I have the feeling that people here expect much more than a half dozen shows in NYC London Paris + a DVD, they want a tour. Or am i wrong? Plus i doubt the Stones would clean and start the big machine one more time for only a few concerts here and there, they could even loose money considering they like to do it first class. There is a huge difference between 20th anniversary and 50th anniver

Quoteleteyer QuoteBliss It's Villefranche, not Villefrance. Sometimes called Villefranche-sur-Mer. There are like 20 towns called Villefranche (sur Saône, Cher, Lonchat), it's better to be specific and call it Villefranche sur Mer. Especially if somebody use a GPS to find the place and ask for Villefranche, he could be disapointed

QuoteStonesTod interesting thoughts. i've never thought they'd use the 50th anniversary as a promotional or marketing idea - but your post even hints at the potential detrimental side of it. "they've been at it 50 years already? geez, they must be ancient relics! $400 for that? hmmmm....honey let's take the grandkids to Paris instead...." For me, it's the

I've seen a few shows in 2007 and IMHO, some of them were really bad, because of Keith problems. I love the guy and don't blame him. But OK, I forget it, i try to be optimistic and pragmatic, I imagine that Keith is feeling better now, even if he doesn't seem to show a lot of interest in music and if nobody have seen him of stage as a guest for 5 years now (tell me if i'm

QuoteJMARKO What video would that be? Are you sure you aren't confusing it with the house in Jamaica that was one of the settings for the VH-1 interview with Anthony DeCurtis back in the early 90s? J Oups, you're right!

From what i've seen on an old video, Keith's house is not close to the sea, and is much more old style.

QuoteR We're talking about 70 year old men here as opposed to almost 60 somethings in '02. The longer they wait the less likely ANYTHING will be to happen. That's very true.

I love ABB. The best since Bridges To Babylon But even if it's far far to be my favorit, they should have played it more on stage. If they don't have the bollocks to do it, they'b better stop to record new ones, especially when they name the tour from the album title.

The shows at the Ambassadors were great. I've always been a huge fan of Ronnie's solo work (Or with the Faces). Maybe he's just better and more comfortable when he is the captain on board. And when he doesn't have to deal with egotic guys who tell him what he can and what he can't play.

QuoteCindyC Perhaps BV could confirm the IP address as someone mentioned above. Of course, he would probably want you to ok this 71Tele. Would that be ok with you? Of course, as the administrator, BV can easily know the IP's of each member, some website even allow you to localize a poster. But it's not so simple, depending on your internet provider, and your options. Some people al

Booking a venue so far in advance (if it happens to be true) is just a sign that they think about touring. As far as there is no money paid or contract signed (which usually happens very late), it's not a proof that they will tour. I know for sure that different venues have been booked in France during the last two years by the Who, and finally nothing happened. Mick looks good and Ronnie

Honestly, my first time was very disapointing. It was in Paris in 82, and at least in Europe it was the beginning of the big stadium shows. So, the security was not very professionnal. I was there with one friend at 6 or 7 am, one entrance only, and when they opened it, 10000 people behind us began to push very hard. I remember some people were hurted. At 1 pm, everybody stood up suddenly, it mea

I don't have a lot of memories of this show. Unfortunately. First because probably my mind was allready at the Olympia. Second, because the temperature in Bercy Arena was @#$%& hot, after a whole day waiting under the sun. Many thanks to the "security man" who gave us tons of water during the concert.

It's time to open your eyes guys. Unfortunately, cause i miss them a lot, i don't think that the Keith i've seen in 2007 will be able to tour an play on stage for two hours eve

QuoteKeithNacho I love this guy.........he lives for the music, not for the business I agree with that, but he is also a pretty good businessman (nothing bad about it). I've seen the movie 2 weeks ago in Paris at the Grand Rex, a big room looking like an old theatre. Thanks for the fans who worked hard on it. Very interesting and touching, it's more a documentary about a tour than

Wake up guys, no recent news, no record in the air, IMHO it's too late for a 2010 tour. If the Stones were supposed to tour Europe this year, we would know now, and the tickets would probably be still on sale. And if they were supposed to tour America this autumn, there would be multiple informations and rumors about it. The last information i've got a few days ago (from a very seriou

QuoteStonesTod fair enough. you might try what i did when i realized what a bad guitar player i am: stop playing. I did the Bill Wyman way and started playing bass, which is much easier even if it hurts your fingers. But i quickly realized that girls don't give a shit about bass players (except if your are a Rolling Stone)
