Quotetreaclefingers Sounding interesting...just looked at BV's show list and there are some 4 day gaps for shows in there that I'm sure they could plug in a few shows. There is a 6 day gap between San Diego May 24 and Columbus Ohio May 30. How about Seattle May 26 and Vancouver May 28? These guys are 70 years old - you think they are going to do 4 shows in 6 days? As far as m

Quotetimbernardis Quotejboug44 QuotePaintitBlue Um...is that a bloomin GOLF COURSE in the middle of the Indie track?? Yes it is. Kind of helps with the perspective of how huge the place actually is. But it looks like it is only a four hole golf course. p There used to be 9 holes inside the track and the other 9 outside. Now, 14 holes are outside of the track. Brickyard Crossing is a

I posted this about 20 pages back, but this picture helps illustrate the size of the IMS, which is 560 acres (227 ha):

Quotedrbryant The promising thing about Indianapolis is that they have a lot more room to play with, and the track itself, being a hard surface, can probably be used for spectator seating as well. I seriously doubt they will allow people on the track surface. First, the turns are significantly banked and old, drunk people would be sure to fall. Second, there is a NASCAR race there 3 wee

I'm concerned with how the stage and seating would be arranged at the IMS. If it is mostly lawn seating, I would think it would have to be general admission. If there are some seats available at a premium, I will probably do that. I would much prefer LOS. I also am curious if there is any chance the Milwaukee show might be at Alpine Valley instead of the Marcus Center. I saw The Who a

Quotetweedamp3 I don't think that sign (Indy) was up over the weekend. I am not to far away. Are you close to the one on 465 by 96th & Michigan or the Fall Creek one? I was guessing that Fall Creek picture is between Keystone and the fairgrounds, but I'm not sure.

Quotejboug44 Hey guys, first time post. I just saw a billboard in Indy this morning on the way to work. Didn't get a pic since I was driving but for those of you in the Indy area, it was off of 465 on the North side, heading West, between Michigan Rd and the 465/65 split. Awesome! Someone on Twitter just posted another one on Fall Creek Parkway:

QuoteRoscoe How many of these cities are the Stones going to actually stay in, or right after each show are they going to fly to some centrally-located big city with a four star hotel? Certainly they could stay at the Hotel Del in San Diego, and I'm sure that Dallas and Atlanta have a Four Seasons hotel. But I find it hard to picture the Stones hanging out for two or three days between show

Quotejrcjohnny99 That's unlikely; the track is banked and there is a berm between the grass area and the track; more likely the stage is set up on the inside of the turn (where the white area is) and they use the bleachers on the other side of the track I was thinking about the high banking of the turn. I guess it could be custom built with 'steps' of the stage going higher,

Here's an aerial of the 3rd & 4th turns. The rumour I am hearing is a stage set up in turn 3 where I put the red box:

QuoteBob C. I don't think the current demographic going to the show would like GA, too much of a hassle for us old people. Plus, the whole Cincinnati thing. For Indy, if they are going to set up a stage in the 3rd turn of the IMS, the only way to do it is GA, because most (or all?) of it will be lawn seating. I'm not thrilled about that and would probably pay more if some seating

Could be the same ones that had Thursday on them before. They are all digital and can be changed in a second.

No subway, no bus or any other public transportation. What are they thinking with??? By Car it's between 7-9 hours hours depending on stops how fast you are driving. Could take 12 hours if weather is bad.

Still no word on an Indy billboard. Many of these billboards are from Outfront Media, so I went to their website to look for locations. It says they have 16 digital billboards in the Indy market, but when I went to the media finder tool, it only shows two, so I don't know if these are two available now or that's all they really have. It shows them both on I-65. One is NW side of Ind

I haven't heard of any billboards around Indy yet. I know a cab driver who is around town all day - will ask him if he has seen anything. I was wondering about the place and manner of the tour announcement, which will apparently be on Thursday, March 19th. In 1975, to announce Tour of the Americas, they came down 5th Avenue on a flatbed truck and played Brown Sugar. In 1989, for the St
