I got 1 reserved $699 ticket for weekend 2 around noon pst, but left weekend 1 window waiting room open, which was way behind. I noticed it paused at 3:30pm and said sold out, but I still left it open. When I came back around 7:30pm, the guy was walking again, then a box came up asking if I still wanted in the box office. I said yes, and got in. There was one section available, but when I clicked

Quotefleabitmonkey waited 3 hrs and 50 min just got in and all tickets for weekend 1 are sold out. The only thing they have for sale is camping, wine and dinner package. When I got in, that's all it showed for about a minute, then the 'passes' buttons showed and worked kinda slowly, then when I got to the seat map, nothing was clicking, then it started working. Gotta be patie

Quotelaurel After 3 hours, my w2 walking man has finally crossed the halfway point. He's got blisters and I got nothing. Most of what I could afford is sold out. I'm about to give up here! Don't give up. Remember, each person has 10 minutes to access the 'buy' page, then another 10 to purchase. So 20 minutes per person x many thousands = wait. Besides orders get ca

QuoteWoz I got good seats for the first weekend. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes to get through, but I got Grandstand, S15 in Row E. Saw your post over on Philzone.org as well. Classic Rock fans do get around.><

Methinks somebody errored in posting May 8th, instead of 9th. Just follow the countdown clock. I got a version of the page mentioned above, but has no buttons, just countdown.

Woodstock was never intended to be a free festival. It was done to make money. Tickets were $18 advance, $24 at the gate. That's about $130 - $160 in todays prices. Remember, no one was yet a 'legend', although some bands were very iconic. People complained about high ticket prices for the festival (and later the movie), and vendors were gouging people from the get-go. CocaC

Neil Young and Sir Paul in Hyde Park, London 2009-06-27: That's pretty special. Could see them doing that again. Don't think Waters has played with any of The 2Who, although Daltrey played with David Gilmour in Columbia in 1992.

I'm in at The Embassy Suites Hilton. For Spring Coachella, they have a shuttle that takes you 5min to another shuttle that goes to the festival and back.

Overhead for a show like this can be high, due to location, but it's not a touring behemoth, and certain amount of infrastucture is probably already in place from Spring Coachella. $7 million per band x 6 = $42 million 100 000 tickets x (say) $600.00 = $60 million (gross). So, yeah, probably looking at $500 - $700 for weekend tix. Ouch!...but Hey!...Once in a lifetime...

When I'm at the show I want everyone to put their damn phones away, but when I'm on the couch, I'm bitching nobody's filming/streaming.

Gee, why play an extra stadium show in Denver or Seattle, when you can play for your 1% buddies in a small club.

I wonder if they basically used LA & SD as 'promo shows' for the dates they knew might be hard to sell back east. "STONES OPEN TOUR WITH SOLD OUT GIG" Looks good in a headline (LA Times). Making it the only Western date on the tour made it an easy sellout.
