QuoteKRiffhard ...but in the end it will be a great album. Experience tells "No"--- they haven´t released a "great album" since... since... since who-knows-when. Looking at their post-DW-output keeps my excitement-level very low. One thing I am sure of - they are going to beat Axel Rose whose "Chinese-what-ever"-album took some 10 years in the making. Btw, &quo

Blasphemy, I know... ...but I´d like to throw in a few songs that are less than 100 years old: Jump On Top Of Me Sparks Will Fly Flip The Switch Rough Justice Had It With You ...and they should not use the b-stage for boring acoustic sets.

Quotepaulywaul I cannot for the life of me remember exactly which Wembley Stadium show it was (it was sometime in the 90s anyway), but from the B-stage they did Route 66. It was just fabulous, it virtually stole the show It Was June 12th 1999, Route 66, LARS & Midnight Rambler.

Tattoo You is indeed a must-have 1972-81 compilation. No kidding. It´s a nice addition to Sucking In The 70s, which is unique because of all the edited versions and live songs. Rarites is also a must have. At least half of it was new to me or first time on CD when it was released.

I dont think there is any tape involved - the background singers that are onstage with the Stones are more than capable to sing "Uhlala."

The songs are "done" about 50/60% since three years, that´s fine - So we only have to wait another five years

Why should GRRR! be a "disaster"? it offers many songs from the aforementioned comps, has two new songs & a nice extra bonus CD containing stuff that was new to me. Many fans seem to have a problem with the artwork, not me - I didn´t care, in fact I find it amusing, the artwork for Jump Back, Rewind, Forty Licks etc isn´t any better, imo.

Quotemjmjr I guess it’s total bs that mick and chuck look at what they played last time they were in a city.... It takes Chuck 2 minutes to go to setlist.fm and have a look. So I think they look - but then don´t care.

Quotestraycatuk ER without Bobby ? NO WAY ! Rocks Off . sc uk Although Bobby Keys was very important for them in the 70s (mostly) - - - Big Karl Denson is the best sax player they ever had onstage. It would be absolutely amazing - no,thrilling to hear him blow on ER. You gotta listen to his own stuff to really hear how fantastic he is.

Who said that the "at least five songs recorded" are finished? Maybe they are only another part of the "50-60%-finished" songs. And, as reliable the Washington Post might be, how reliable is Keith? "We recorded songs", "We are cutting songs" etc. is what we hear for many years now.

...and I bet 85% of the crowd would not even know who the guy was that Mick is talking about. People hardly know who is sitting behind the drum kit and they never ever heard anything about a guy called Bill Wyman.

Quotegeorgie48 ...Exile, which got a real treat with its rerelease. ... mistreat, i´d like to say. The bonus CD is horrible to say the least. Only listened to it once. SF Deluxe had interesting alt-takes and great live tracks, it´s a wonderful package. I enjoy it very often.

QuoteChris Fountain Why can't we have Luxury, Mixed Emotions, or even MLH in a song vote? I know what BS, HTW, TD, GS, MR, MS JJF, SSS, BTMMR is... but i have no idea what MLH is... What about HOTYH for next song vote?

Without the musical director there wouldn´t be any shows and there would not even be a band called The Rolling stones nowadays. He is the back-bone of the band. The band knows why they have chosen him. He is what the Stones need these days.

QuoteGasLightStreet I bought Dancing With Mr D - live, the only thing from HONK I've bought. I may still get the double CD or whatever, because I was looking at JUMP BACK the other day and just started to laugh... it's such a lazy rip off you almost have to have it. You have to get the 3CD-version including the live bonus tracks. For the live tracks only it is a must have for any ser

Maybe not inviting MT for the Fonda gig was the well planned climax of humilation after all the humilation they made him suffer during 2012-14. Anyway, Ronnie did a great job at the Fonda. The DVD/CD-release is their best live release since wonderful Shine A Light, imo. The zip-code-tour had not much of a SF-anniversary celebration anyway, they only played the usual tracks from SF, didn´t

QuoteLeonidP Now that I think about it, the Stones have never released a regular album. The upcoming one just might be their debut! don´t forget Blue And Lonesome... reportedly it was recorded within a very short period of time! It is a "new studio album" by all definitions. The more i think of it... indeed it is.

I bet 90% of the people in the audience have no idea what album "She's So Cold" came from.. Oh so true... But people might do research and finally wind up buying the album! (that´s why I hope Harlem Shuffle will also be played at some of the upcomi

Quotegeorgie48 Mick T. being invited in 2012 was based on getting over certain still heavy feelings, being big hearted. No business reasons nonsence. I think they invited MT and Bill for several reasons (one of the reasons imo clearly was to humilate both MT and Bill): - Ticket prices exploded. So they thought it would be nice to offer some kind of "bonus" - It was their 50th a

Satisfaction You Got Me Rocking Sad Sad Sad Bitch would be a great opening set. A five-minute version of Satisfaction would allow them to play one more song/per night. Tumbling Dice should be placed in the encore-part or after Keith´ spot. Brown Sugar/JJF would be marvelous as final big number. I would also love to see them dropping the acoustic-set. Undercover/Harlem Shuffle should be res

QuoteLeonidP to follow up on the moronic logic ... Exile is not a regular album either, as it was recorded over a couple years, from sessions as far back as '69, and Jagger missed a lot of the sessions and added his vocals to many songs later. Now that I think about it, the Stones have never released a regular album. The upcoming one just might be their debut! Depending on the amount o

Quoteduke richardson why does having him play acoustic on Satisfaction equate to humiliating him? thats nonsense. the original has a fairly prominent acoustic guitar. Mick Taylor may have suggested that he play acoustic on it for those shows, for all we know. Of course it was their intent to humilate him. Satisfaction is the encore where everybody is fireing on all cylinders - his acoustic g

Ronnie doesn´t look natural to me... on pics from opening night he looks too juvenile... Regarding Keith - if Bruce Springsteen can wear a whig Keith can dye his hair anytime. Keith and Mick being close buddies again. Not too sure about that. Keep in mind nowadays they are some kind of actors onstage. ...and for one million/per night i´d gladly hug my worst enemy
