Autograph collecting can be controversial but many get great enjoyment from the hobby. It's not for everyone but I enjoy the hunt, the moment of interaction and the collectible piece. It goes without saying that an autograph gained in person is the best. Many don't have the chance collect autographs in person or indeed they may want the autograph of someone who has passed. Unfortunat

Quoteliddas Just to make you laugh. Years ago Darryl Jones guested for a group of friends on mine here in Milano. I took my bass to the gig and Darryl signed it after the show. Some time later I had to play the bass, was excited to show off Darryl’s signature, but didn’t know how I could play the thing without ruining the signature. So I decided to protect it with a plastic sheet for food.

Quotejbwelda Do you happen to hire or otherwise have people to drive your cars around a bit for you? I used to drive a guy in Berkeley's car collection around for him, he had a XK120, a Lotus Elan, and early Elite and a few others including a BMW Isetta and a Ferrari 250 GTO(!!!). jb I drive them all :-) I love BMW Isetta's and wow a 250 GTO, I have no desire to be in that le

Quotejbwelda You are not really going to drive that car, are you? Shit I count myself lucky I just got an artists proof of Ronnie's portrait of Keef signed by him and including a little self portrait and a tongue, both hand scrawled underneath. Obviously, not in the same league, but if you see Ronnie, tell him it was well appreciated even second hand. jb Absolutely, I have only had

Quotejbwelda Its like the ultimate super deluxe package, car and all! jb I also have pretty much all the other I Feel Like Playing bits too, including Ronnie's hand painted shoes, I have the silver ones (there is a silver and a red pair - the red pair are still in Ronnie's house in Holland Park and can be seen in the photos of the real estate listing). I also have the only 60"

QuoteTorres That's amazing Matt. I saw this car for the 1st time this summer in the Algarve, it's a stunning machine. Congratulations. Can you share what other models do you have in your car collection? I am curious to know :-) With oldest first: 1) Lady Jane a 1950 Jaguar XK120 in silver with red leather, this was the fastest car in the world in 1950 2) Ruby a 1957 MGA in Re

QuoteLeonidP It looks pretty awesome to me! Can anyone ballpark the value? "Ain't no ballpark neither" ... samuel jackson, pulp fiction It started life around £320,000 first being registered at the end of December 2017 and first delivered in January 2018. It was last advertised at £199,950 with 1,800 miles on the clock. It's now just broken through 2,000 miles.

Quoteschillid If I owned a Rolls Royce... I wouldn't want anyone's name carved into the upholstery or wood panels I generally agree but this album is special to me and so is Ronnie. I wouldn't have added the details myself if that makes sense but because it was already officially done and limited to just the one car then it was the perfect addition to my modest car collection &am

Quotejbwelda The suicide doors are part of the base car. In fact, beyond some engraving here and there and that interior layout, I don't see a whole lot different from an off-the-showroom-floor version a friend of mine has. Its a beautiful car and perhaps his little touches personalize it, but its not like its a real "custom" in my eyes. I think (don't know for sure) that even

Three years ago, Ronnie customised a Rolls Royce Wraith around his "I Feel Like Playing" album that was sold with a portion of the funds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust. Ronnie was one of nine British musicians to take part in this unique and amazing project. The result is mind blowing. I was spending a lot of time with Ronnie around the time he recorded "I Feel Like Playing&qu

Jimmy Page 3: Too Much Blood - Remastered 4: Sympathy For The Devil - Live 4: Beast of Burden - Remastered Cool artwork! Would have made a great Record Store Day release but I am not complaining... since lockdown they have been doing and involved in loads of stuff!

Quotejbwelda So these shirts, were they available at the merch stands during the shows, or were they some special editions not being flogged elsewhere? I always wondered if Mick just grabbed a handful of shirts from the merch stand to chuck to the crowd. I have never been near enough to the stage to even think about retrieving one. jb No, they are custom shirts made to look the same as th

My first invite to one of their private homes was Ronnie's 60th at Holmwood, I went the following year too and also know the current owners so have been back since. Big parties with many present from Music, Sport etc... Much much more memorable are the many times I have spent one on one. I pitched Ronnie the idea of a live version of "I Feel Like Playing" at Ruxley Towers wher

Ben was organising this himself and it's a big deal to get Ronnie to play... venue, equipment, transport, security etc... to keep the ticket prices down Ben has to arrange / pay for that himself, many costs are likely not recoverable due to Ben making the responsible decision to postpone the concerts before the UK lockdown was formally declared on the afternoon of the 16th which would have d

The Quiet One is hitting the big screen with showings around the UK. It's well worth seeing on the big screen for the shear impact and sound of the previously unseen footage. It mad how people go for what they know... things like the phone without a box at $3,840 yet some killer, killer rare gems like the 1972 towel ($448) I picked up hardly had any bids. Those prices should have been the other way around. Knowledge is everything...

Hi Skills, I hope you got it too so it can go home to NZ. I was majorly slagged off when I bought the only other decent one to come up for sale which has been on loan to the Stones for 5 years now. It went for the minimum of my expectation ($12,800) but the 2,500 jumps at that level make it hard. You get bid up at 10,000 you have to come back in at 15,000! Ouch. I am please the Goat sweate

Quotesnoopy2 Hey Mattleeuk! I know you're a very serious collector, wondered if I may have been bidding against you yesterday on any of the ticket stubs or brochures from the Brian Jones era? My pockets are not deep (right now) so couldn't compete -- But am writing you cuz if you ever have a small token (preferably a ticket stub) of that era you're willing to part with for a fee,
