I'm curious if the standard version of "Mess It Up" will also be released as a physical single on the same day as the remix, or if it's just the remix alone. There is some precedence for this speculation, as back in the day a special remix of "Too Much Blood" was released for the dance floors, but the standard version of the track as heard on the album was never r

Nearly two years ago, I had asked, "what is your favourite track per studio album"? The results of that survey can be found here: Now, we have "Hackney Diamonds" to add to the mix, with a few weeks under our belts to have taken it all in. Secondly, have your votes on the other studio albums since changed? Here is my updated list, in which I'm also including a vot

There's also 2 versions of the shorter version (in addition to the Alok remix): one is a bit more "reggae-ish" with a cold ending while the other fades out.

The longer studio version at 4m:07s that Irix mentions above has an extra stanza following the bridge and instrumental break (just before the song gets quiet). The shorter studio version at 3m:59s doesn't have this stanza. The extra stanza is the following: Preachers were all preachin' Charities beseechin' Politicians dealin' Thieves were happy stealin' Widows w

QuoteCaptainchaos Quotesf37 "Mess It Up" is growing on me after 5 or 6 listens. I am really enjoying its funk and groove, though I still wish the Stones had incorporated the original version of that "Really Wanna Tell The Truth" snippet into the song instead of altering it. Still, it's a pretty good track, better than "Angry" in my humble opinion. Does the ru

My vote right now is for ABB. Granted, I haven't had the opportunity yet to listen to HD enough times to become overly familiar with each track, so down the road my thoughts could change. But as of today, no song on HD has grabbed me and pulled me in the way some of the tracks on ABB did the first few times around. "Mess It Up" is gaining traction, but nothing on HD (so far) tops &

And I’d love to hear a review of ABB done recently. Hackney Diamonds is way better than ABB by a large margin. That's your opinion, you can't say its absolutely better, you think it's better, to my ears the new album sounds like a

I'm also seeing ads promoting "Angry" during sports commercial breaks. During the game breaks themselves, particularly hockey, several Stones classics are played over the speakers. "Start Me Up" seems to get the most play.

Somewhere between number 4 and 5 would be closest for me. I like to collect every officially released studio track, plus an official live track if it was never released as a studio version to begin with (i.e. Going To A Go-Go, Like A Rolling Stone, Chantilly Lace, etc). I will collect officially released remixes or extended versions. But if I have those tracks on either mp3 or CD, that's goo

Still haven't listened to SSOH because I don't want to detract from my enjoyment of the album in its entirety as a listening experience. I don't want to read lyrics or others' opinions and be swayed - pun intended. It's a little like Christmas, isn't it? Some of us want to open

Is there an official Stones video for this song? I've seen a couple of different lyric videos on YouTube but I'm not sure if those are simply fan-made or not. I recall that for "One More Shot", the official video was in fact just a lyric video, so perhaps that's the case again now....thanks!

"Time Of The Season", "Tell Her No" and "She's Not There" have always been among my favourite tracks of the 60s. And Argent's "Hold Your Head Up" was a nice trippy 70s tune. I must however do a deeper dive into their music because I'm not as familiar with the rest of their back catalogue.
