Quoteloog droog Does anyone else here remember how Martin Scorsese used "All The Way From Memphis" at the beginning of his film, Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore? He even worked in a name-check of the band, as Ellen Burstyn complains about her son's choice of music. Tucson Arizona! Great movie. I also remember T.Rex on the soundtrack.

QuotePietro Mick Jones of the Clash was a big Mott fan. He was part of a group of fans called "Mott's Lot" that used to follow the band around England. If you listen closely to the vocal harmonies in Clash songs you can hear strains of Mott. Jones (along with Mick Ronson) produced Ian Hunter's 1981 album "Short Back 'n'Sides." "Crash Street Kids"

I've spent my weekends converting stacked Blu-ray Audio discs into WAV files. As I don't have a surround sound system, I only converted PCM 2-channel on the disk to WAV. I skipped Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD and Atmos. It was a pleasant surprise for me to find something unique sound. Especially, I noticed the brilliance of "Don't Stop"! Keith's intricate weaving

Now I don't remember which day I went to the show at the Budokan in 1978. One thing I can remember is meeting a now-deceased professional wrestler in the bathroom and having him sign my program! He said to me, "Why don't you get it from Dylan?"

Excerpts from an interview with Yuji Ikeda san: - Did you see the Wembley Empire Pool shows on September 7, 8 and 9? Yes, as for the 8th, I saw a night show. Several attendees also saw the first show. I saw David Bowie's first show in Japan in April before I went to London, and it was amazing. At that point, I concluded, "There's nothing else left for me to do," and

For the Japanese fans who were devastated by the cancellation of the show in Japan the same year, the song may have come as a big surprise. Angie soon dominated the music charts. Above all, watching the moving Stones on TV was just overwhelming for me. Keith on the acoustic, a beautiful piano melody and a rose on Jagger. I was daydreaming all that day. QuoteRockman The title written on the Japanese obi is "The man who stole the sun". This is a reference to the title of a film in 1979. The story is about a man who steals plutonium and successfully produces an atomic bomb, and threats the government and demands give him the Rolling Stones perform in Japan.

In the summer of 1978, when John and Yoko were living as hermits at the Hotel Okura in Tokyo, John handed a Japanese singer a list of records he wanted. The singer's manager, who was an acquaintance of mine, delivered the records to their hotel room. Among them were Some Girls and Street Legal. Those two records might have helped starting over his secular life again. Or is this my double f

I still remember the Diary of a Rock 'N' Roll Star ad in the Melody Maker back then. The mention about Dave Hill was funny. The following conversation always comes to mind when I think of these two great men. “The thing was,” laughs Ian Hunter, “that Rono hated Dylan until then. ‘*ucking Yogi Bear’ he used to call him. When he started the Rolling Thunder tour, I said to him,

all shook up... Japanese promoter remembers on the 2017 Japan tour. "We went to karaoke with Jeff and the rest of the band for the successful tour party. As far as I know, this is the only time Jeff has ever gone to karaoke. The band members wanted to go, and Jeff didn't want to go at first, but he came with us. He shyly sang one English country song."
