Quote71Tele QuoteAussieMark I wasn't too upset hearing Rodriguez sing Blue Suede Shoes or Fever, given I own a Dylan album that includes covers of The Boxer and Blue Moon :-) Hey, Dylan's covers of those two songs are so weird (his lazily double-tracked Boxer vocal, in particular) that they're great. Totally, I agree 100%

I first heard Rodriguez's songs when I was a teenager in the 1970s. At most parties I went to back then his "Cold Fact" album was played some time during the night. Those of you have have seen the Academy Award winning documentary will know the story - how he was huge in Australia and South Africa, but virtually unknown in his home country (the USA) and how his record company rip

Quotebv I am still looking for great draft beers but it is hard here in Adelaide. Seriously? Just about every pub in Adelaide would have Coopers Pale Ale on tap these days - a fabulous beer. It's not as sweet as American pale ales or IPAs - from the tap it almost drinks like a slightly bitter lager. Very thirst quenching. Have a go, you might like it :-)

Quote24FPS That is the most 'normal' I have ever seen a Rolling Stone dressed. Plaid shirt and blue jeans. And Ronnie, of all people, who seems very interested in how he looks. Ronnie's clearly done his research on what guys wear in Adelaide - he nailed the look 100%.

As others have mentioned, the Clapton and Dylan "unplugged" albums are both excellent. I also like the Heart and Pretenders acoustic albums. The Page & Plant "unledded" album is quite lame though. I must say I found the Kiss MTV unplugged album to be surprisingly refreshing - I really enjoyed it.

Quoteshadooby QuoteAussieMark During the day time I hire and fire people, make sure they get paid if they deserve to be paid, and hand tissues to people when they cry in my office. At night I dress like Bill Wyman. Boy, glad I'm self-employed and not working for the likes of you. Thanks bro. You have a nice day too.

I last saw Bob at Byron Bay 3 years ago, and his performance (and vocal range) would have been a 1/10 then, so something amazing must have happened since then to get him back on track.

QuoteMathijs An example: the Ampeg London bass Wyman used is discussed. They first give wrong information (that the first London bass Wyman used was a demo, which it never was, it was a regular production model), and then Wyman states: I have three of them, which I still have in my country house'. So, what would be better for this book then to go to Wyman's country house and photograp

QuoteNate I lived in Sydney when I was a baby but apart from that I've never made the trip down under so if I come to Australia in November from the UK does anyone have any advice on how long to stay I know it's too far to go for just one week so I was thinking two or maybe three weeks? Thanks Nate In November there are plenty of things to do in Sydney, and the weather that time

Dirty Work mentions getting some "greaseball" to do the dirty work. Some people of particular ethnic origin could find that offensive, I guess? "Find some jerk Find some dumb ass do it all for free Let somebody do the dirty work Find some loser, find some jerk Find some greaseball, yeah"

QuoteLadykiller When people earn so much money like the Stones with their shows, there is no need for such things, IMO! I like to prefer shows without any safety net. Everything should be perfect without any fake things. I gather you're not a musician? Musicians are people, not machines. Sometimes we forget things. I'm not 70 but I imagine it's even more of an issue for people

Our Stones tribute band were asked by a bride and groom to play this at their wedding a few weeks ago (together with an Exile-heavy list of requests). It's a song we've never included in our regular repertoire, since our usual club shows and corporate events cater for people expecting all the mainstream material and hits - but what a fabulous and enjoyable song for us to play.
