Quotejustsway Is it true that there are 2 versions of the Barca jersey? Yea, one version for sale now in the Rolling Stones online shop, and the other for sale on the fc Barcelona website from 23 October on. The latter is the official game shirt the team will wear during el Classico

Quotebv Quotejackflash27 Who designed this? Come on, this could have been so much better. A short lyric (“it’s only’rock ‘n roll” for instance) would be much more esthetic. Thisbisbjust too easy. It is marketing. THe tonue is the brand, and the jersey is FC Barcelona. You can not change the jersey, and you can not take away the tongye. I think it is brilliant. Of course it’s marketing and i u

QuoteRisingStone “Assai Records Exclusive Japanese Inspired Obi Strip” For your information: On the obi strip, “The Rolling Stones” (right) and “Hackney Diamonds” (left) are printed vertically in Japanese “Katakana”. This is made in U.K. by the way. Was luckily able to buy one of these. It's basically just the numbered obi strip what makes it special. oh well....

Being a fan since 1989 (which seems like a lifetime), this is only just 'my' 6th 'waiting for the new album' moment' for the Stones. And it feels special and exciting once again. Don't have extreme high expectations. Pretty sure it won't be another sticky fingers, Some girls or even Tattoo you, but just hope it's an enjoyable record.

QuoteIrix Quotejackflash27 So these 9 releases are part of the "back catalogue, that ABKCO has still in print". So why new versions (2022) with new (bar)codes? In my eyes, these are also reissues. What makes them different than the officially 16 announced reissues? Dunno, cannot help with these questions. it's damn complicated and diffuse. For serious collectors it must be

QuoteIrix Quotejackflash27 So are these reprints of existing versions, or are they 'new' versions (as in "part of the rerelease series")? wrote on 9-Jun-2023: "These 16 vinyl reissues will join The Rolling Stones back catalog that ABKCO has long kept in print". The 9 releases listed above are part of the long-term back catalog (mostly added in 2022) while th

QuoteIrix Quotejackflash27 So a bit of a mess marketing wise. Maybe ABKCO changed their re-release plans when they heard that the recordings of the new studio album were finished. Overview of the back catalog that ABKCO has long kept in print (black Vinyl): 12x5 - current barcode: 018771211716 (added April 12, 2022) - , , Aftermath (UK) - current barcode: 018771863717

Instead, producer Andrew Watt has gotten away with the cleaning agent and sterilized the entire soundscap

I familiair with the press release. But apparently some albums get the reissue treatment without being mentioned in the press release. It seems TSMR, BB are sold with a new barcode number, fitting in the new reissue numbers. So a bit of a mess marketing wise.

I have some questions about the new series, before I can make up my mind if I need to collect these. Questions: 1) Are there EU releases and US releases for the same release and do they have different barcodes? For instance: for Aftermath US (the one with Paint it black as opening track), is there a EU release AND a US release? 2) Did they use the masters of the Mono box for all the new mono r

Non of the above. I want every official studio album on vinyl, and all live releases on vinyl. Don't need all 'best of' collections, or Japanese curiosities on vinyl, just one good version (at least).

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Quotetiffanyblu QuoteProfessorWolf QuoteVoodooLounge13 See, that's my point. I think us younger fans have a bigger appreciation for their latter-day stuff than the older fans. We are the ones who tend to love the more recent releases. There are exceptions on here, but most prefer the older and/or golden periods. as a younger fan i'm in total agreement with you

QuoteMisterDDDD Quotejackflash27 This is horror for vinyl completists. Especially when you live outside the US (limited to US residents only). I can imagine some European collectors are dying to spend over 11000 dollars on the 30 different 'extremely limitited' versions, but can't figure out how to order (only limited to US residents). Must be hell. Thankfully not a completist,

Quotewiredallnight I must buy a normal black vinyl album and put it in my "Studio Albums Vinyl Collection 1971-2016" box. Well, 2016 isn't correct then anymore, but who cares... Don't worry, next year there probably will be an updated Studio albums box, and off course we all buy that one too

Listened to the song about 10 times, hoping it would grow on me. But instead I get more bored. I like the the Stones more dark than this. This is just too happy sounding, it's a very safe, radio friendly pop song aimed at the mass market. Also more a Mick Jagger solo song than Stones. There was a question in the press conference about whether the Stones wrote songs aimed at the liking of th

QuoteBowieStone Saw him too this weekend. Also not the biggest fan. To me he’s one of the great enigmas of popular music: never understood why he became so big. But I enjoy quite a few of his albums… even some later ones. Hyde Park was good, but he’s not the singer he once was. Also… if you play these large places… some visuals would be nice. I don’t mean pyrotechnics or dancers, but ‘the

Saw Bruce on Hyde Park this weekend. First timer for me. Good show, but I simply miss the spark in his music. It's all a bit too 'happy' for me. A lot of 'Come on Steves', and 'Lai-lai-lai's'. Also Bruce does a bit too much his best to keep up with the 'tough guy' image (ripping his shirt open for instance). But I have to admit: the guy delivers
