Anything more about the rumoured Royal Albert Hall gig? Were said rumours total BS?

QuoteVoodooLounge13 I do miss Lisa. Watching the video of Thru & Thru on that topic’s feed really made miss that version of the band. Bobby, Charlie, Lisa, Blondie. Great times and shows. Agree 100%....... I loved Lisa.

QuoteSonicDreamer Pit B tickets are available on the Liverpool ticket site now. Cheers, SonicD This is great news because we are driving up to Liverpool for the gig. The fact that you can still buy pit tixkets at this late stage guarantees that we will get one for half the face value from a tout half an hour before the gig starts. Works everytime.....

QuoteJohnnySnapps I am staying in Liverpool for a couple of days after the show. Friday night, June 10, Elvis Costello & The Imposters are playing at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. I couldn't pass up the chance to him in Liverpool. The Philharmonic Hall website would not let me purchase just one ticket (there were only two seats left, fifth row from stage) so I had to buy the pair. If

We were gonna go to this one, but I'm not sure it's a good idea because we might not be safe. We still cannot stop laughing about Liverpool losing to that Real Madrid team. HAHAHAHAHA...

Are they still wearing masks in Spain? Madness..... Even if they are, I'm pretty sure Ronnie could be considered exempt given that he has recently recovered from cancer.

I don't like electronic music that much, but there are some exceptions. I love Depeche Mode, especially "Violator" and "Music For The Masses". They became a truly great live band, and Dave Gahan is as good a front man as you will find. This is terrible news about Fletch. RIP

Neil is a bit of a twat, no doubt about it.... However, all the great music he has made allows you to forgive him that. A bit like Bruce..... Sure Springsteens fake blue collar "man of the people" persona gets tiresome, and his constant arse kissing of politicians grates on the nerves, but what about that last album though. A man of his age who is that deep into his career has no right

Keep The Les Paul JNR Double Cutaway, but I agree, I also do not like the sound of the other JNR.

Quoteironbelly Quotelegin Bought the album...Best Stones release since the original Tattoo You IMO..Wonderful stuff!...(brickwalled sound?..er..definately NOT). Technically, it is more compressed than old CBS CD or 2011 flat transfer that was issued in Japan on SHM-SACD and SHM-CD. Those have DR=12-14 for El Mocambo side. This release only DR=8. But generally speaking, the overall sound is less s

QuoteShootsWaterRats Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but I think the sound on this release is disappointing for all the reasons one might anticipate these days: brickwalled, compressed, fake reverb added. It's like Bob Clearmountain is trying to appeal to today's youth audience that is used to music being overly processed and polished. I'm baffled by comments from I

I've had a long day & night at work and I just managed to get into HMV before they closed at 9PM and went straight to The Stones section but El Mocambo was not there. It must be in the new releases section I thought? It wasn't!!!! So I ask this kid working there and he told me that they did not get many delivered, but he is sure that he saw a copy about 20 mins ago but he could not

Quotelem motlow QuoteBliss Johnny idolised Keith. I think he befriended Marlon just so he could get into Keith's orbit. And he did all he could to emulate him, to the extent of getting his very own Anita. Except that Johnny Depp is more famous than Keith and Keith was emulating him. Strange right? I may have said something similar to the post above before the trial but I went back and loo

QuoteStonedRambler Quotestrat72 They will be close to full because there is enough people out there with common sense that will go to the venue an hour before the gig and pick up great tickets at half price. That is what we have done for the last few tours and it works a treat. Do you buy from the box office or from people outside the stadium? I never trusted buying tickets from people outside th

QuoteBraincapers I wouldn't go to Hyde Park even if I could afford it. I'm too old to stand up all day Indeed Brain.... I'm not old but have no wish to stand in a park all day. However, Hyde Park is much cheaper for an artist to book than hiring Wembley/Twickenham/London Stadium/Spurs/Emirates.....

This has nothing to do with the economy and everything to do with people being sick and tired of being taken for mugs. I love The Stones as much as anyone but their greed appalls me. I am very lucky to be well off, but I will never allow myself to be ripped off, no matter how much I love an artist. The Stones have been doing the same tour for decades, playing the same songs and offering nothing n

My advice to anyone near any of the venues for these gigs who are thinking of buying a ticket is don't. Those with balls should wait till the day of the gig. Go to the venue a few hours before The Stones take the stage. Help yourself to great tickets for below face value. Trust Uncle Strat72, it works every time.

Anyone that uses the word "boomer" tends to be a total ****. Will anyone actually buy this book that is priced at either $475 or €1700? You would think not, but there are a lot of mugs out there. Some that post on this forum paid thousands to watch The Stones play the last gig of their tour. There is one born every single day.

Quotebv Women are just as capable as men in playing football. Still, some with a macho mind may think women should stay at home. Women may play handball, run marathon, do cross country skiing, downhill skiing, golf and most other sports, just like men. Personally I would not watch it. It has nothing to do with them being female and everything to do with the quality of football being not very go

Steve Jordan was the obvious choice. The comfortable choice, and he will do well. People have to understand that Charlie Watts cannot be replaced and whoever plays drums with The Stones will not work for many. I would have gone for Alan 'Reni' Wren.
