What can you expect of a country where an amateur jury is supposed to take juridical decisions, in a show trial broadcasted for the world's pleasure? Backwarded country. Always was, always will be.

This year, the Stones will play in Madrid, and I am not going, I live in Barcelona and I don't see the point going there for yet another Stones concert (no offence, I am sure they'll do a good job). However, I might change my mind if their setlist would be: - Mona (I Need You Baby) - Don't Know Why - Keep It Cool - Eliza Upchink - Citadel - I Am Waiting - Tie You Up (Pai

Nice, very nice. 999 was good but a bit empty. You Got The Silver and BTMMR were very good.

Great news. I would love them to play "Hate It When You Leave", "Rockawhile", "Eileen", "Suspicious" and many more.

Quotepeoplewitheyes I actually started to listen to Bridges to B after listening to DW, and had to switch it off. It sounded so mannered and dull. I never thought I'd say this, but I am becoming a DW fan. I'm gonna blaze one up and put it on loud again this afternoon. As I mentioned, I love the vitality of it, M sounds wired and angry, the guitars are nasty, and although most of

Both albums are not very good. Between the Buttons is not the Stones' worst, but it's their most boring and mediocre. Worse albums like TMSR and DW have at least some great stuff on it, but this one has nothing. Revolver is less good than Rubber Soul because it has some really lame nonsense on it (Yellow Submarine, Good Day Sunshine, Taxman) but it has two absolute amazingly brilliant

I am not a big fan of the Beatles and I probably prefer listening to Aftermath in some ways, but there is no doubt that Rubber Soul is by far the better album. In composition, in variety, in melodies, in scope, in lyrics. Moreover, I think it's their only album with not a single weak or silly song on it.

Keith made a number of very good solo albums, on which especially the soul ballads are very good songs. No big hits, but with his voice that would be impossible. Mick and Keith have gone too far apart with their tastes, they don't write together anymore. Same happened with the Beatles, much earlier. In any case, pop music has changed. It isn't that important anymore in society or fo

QuoteKeithNacho It is weird that Jagger tolerate this lack of responsability. There must be other causes gor this In fact, the way the songs are arranged most of the time the piano player is more important than Keith and Ronnie. As long as the piano player plays the chords correctly and keeps control, Mick can go on doing this thing.

QuoteGasLightStreet Ronnie's live solos have been outstanding, for me from 1994 to at least up through the LICKS tour, on Tumbling Dice, Start Me Up, Shattered, Dead Flowers. But he's not really a soloist. Possibly his finest moment in regard to a slide solo is in Out Of Tears. Ronnie's playing in this version of Start Me Up, including his melodic lines toward the end with

QuoteStoneage Winning Ugly The song is getting better and better. Change the sound of the bass (maybe someone on the IORR forum can overdub the bass?) and you got a winner (no pun intended).

QuoteDandelionPowderman That funk again, matxil True , that's part of the "problem". But I also think that Keith's voice really doesn't work for that kind of music. It works surprisingly good with soul but with funk not so much.

Quote24FPS Who really cares? Other than Charlie all of their solo careers come down to a scant handful of songs that you would ever listen to again. Take It So Hard for Keith, which really sounds like a Stones demo. Just Another Night for Mick, and Warring People from Super Heavy. Bill has Je Suis Un Rock Star, and What & HoW & If & When & Why from Back to Basics. And I don't

QuoteDandelionPowderman I love all those "silly" rockers! I heard Let Me Go on Still Life before the ER-version, so it took me a long time to warm to the slower album version. But I'm getting there. What exactly is wrong with Dance? Is it funk that you don't like, or that song in particular. The playing and the sounds are excellent. I don't mind the silly rockers,

Down in the Hole, Indian Girl, She's So Cold and Emotional Rescue are the highlights of ER. All About You is pretty good too. The problem with ER is the silly rockers Summer Romance and Where The Boys Go. Also not very great are Dance and Send It To Me. Let Me Go is alright as filler.

Sorry, I didn't read the entire thread so I might have missed something but I have seen some uproar in social media about the comments of McCartney about the Stones and I really don't get what all the fuzz is about. He said that the Stones were basically a blues cover band and the Beatles started with a wider scope. Which is true. The only thing missing here is that the Stones were an

QuoteMarkdog Generally Steve is doing a good job from what I've watched. The snare sound is odd to me and not quite right to my ears. Very thud sounding with Steve's hard hitting and lacking snares and body. I thought Midnight Rambler was way off the mark. Tough song to play with the slower and faster tempo transitions. This highlights how well Keith and Charlie locked in which is
