QuoteJah Paul From a quick Google search... Info here says it's from '63... Google is your friend! A bit off topic but i wonder if those leather trenchcoats thst Bill and Brian are wearing are the same kind that Mick and Keith were envious of the Beatles wearing when the fab 4 went to see them play at the crawdaddy?

Quotekleermaker Taylor's and Keith's relationship was rather complicated, but musically they understood each other very well. Keith said he only got to know Taylor when he stayed in his house in Southern France during the exile period. Also one could see during this last tour that they had and still have a special relationship. It has more depth than the clownnish fooling around between

Mick and Keith are the reason the band is one of the best ever but Charlie is my fav.not just because he is a great drummer but also who seemes for the most part completely unfazed by 50 years of celebrity

for gods sake the monarchy does not have any political power in the UK, This is not 1513, Parliment could vote to end the monarchy tomorrow if it wanted to and their is nothing the Queen could do about it. But the vast majority of British people want to retain it. What is the problem?

Happy 70th Mick Jagger The best frontman of a band ever! sorry no debate, Little Richard,Elvis,James Brown,Michael Jackson ,Prince are in the same league but all were/are solo artists. Nobody in a band is as iconic, exciting and most of all enduring. Just look at the videos from TAMI to glastonbury, no debate!

another solid album like most of them have been. I mean lets get real they are not going to produce a classic but even Bigger Bang had some good tracks on it. If they could make one as good as that I would be happy

QuoteStoneage Maybe it's because he's a Scot? I remember Sir Sean Connery had some trouble getting knighted due to his support to the Scottish National Party. Or maybe he hasn't kissed enough asses... He was born in London and as far as know has never lived in Scotland.

QuoteDandelionPowderman Exile is one of the most american-sounding records of all time, imo. Beggars Banquet still had some englishness left in its soundscape. Agreed, I can't think of more of an American sounding album than Exile. I always thought Emotional Rescue had a bit of an English flavour on it, stuff like She's so cold, Where the boys go and Summer Romance kind of had that

I could just about stand his voice until about the mid 70's but it has been a straight drop since. I cannot beleive people still think he is good today. It would be an improvement to hear Townsend sing the songs of the Who these days.

Quotestonehearted QuoteChaz50 Anyone else noticed that Bill Wyman and the Rhythym Kings are also playing at Glastonbury? Maybe Bill will hook up with the Stones again? No chance. This is proof that those two-song appearances last year were it. Bill will never appear with The Stones again. It ends as acrimoniously as ever. Maybe the Bill and the RK will blow The Stones off the stage. I th

QuoteBILLPERKS THE SHOWS WERE SOLD OUT COMPLETELY ONLY BECAUSE TICKET BROKERS BOUGHT UP ALL THE CHEAP SEATS.TICKETS FOR ALL SHOWS WERE AVAILABLE ON STUB HUB RIGHT UP TILL SHOW TIME. HOW DO YOU KNOW IF THE BROKERS HAD NOT BOUGHT THOSE TICKETS THAT THEY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN BOUGHT BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC? SEEMS TO ME THAT TICKETS AT FACE VALUE WOULD SELL BETTER THEN THROUGH BROKERS

I have not liked the song live very much, but I thought it was much better in 2012, the best since 81 anyway. (I still think the studio version was one of the best singles they ever did though) Also are you guys sure that was a yawn and not just a guy singing along with a terrible voice?
