What a downer if it's true, I wonder if they don't have any other video recordings from 1969-1975, except the ones we've already seen?? I know that all shows since 1989 has been pro-shot, hopefully we will get some rare modern era shows later on.

I like it, great song. I have A LOT more respect for Neil Young than I have for the Stones at this point. First of all, Neil is still very productive and releases new music almost every year. Also, Neil varies his live performances and always comes up with a brand new setlist for each new tour. He was excellent live last year, RIP Rick Rosas. He shows that he still cares about music, un

QuoteTheBlockbuster Quotecaschimann Onlystones. To be very, very honest: I don´t believe you one word. I don´t believe you were at Fonda, nor Petco, nor Belly. In my opinion it´s all in your head. Incl. the staff-story to get in to Belly Up. I kind of agree. Especially this part seems very ''made up'' and unrealistic: ''I asked him what denomin

Quotewhitem8 They missed their opportunity to do Plundered with Mick Taylor. Stop pretending that everything depends on if Mick Taylor plays with them or not... I'm sure Ronnie could play Taylor's parts on Plundered My Souls just fine. I would also love to hear Following The River. Imagine Mick Jagger singing it while sitting behind his keyboard like on Worried About You, it could

QuotePlink BV, can we have a thread for Zip Code Tour setlist grievances? This would make the show threads much more enjoyable for those of us following along with enthusiasm. It's tiresome to read the same setlist complaints over & over again, in thread after thread, year after year. It would be great to have it all contained in one master thread on the subject. It's also tireso

QuoteTheBlockbuster The setlist is exactly how I figured it would be. The Stones never play many rarities in stadiums. I still think the opening song should have been Brown Sugar, and only three other SF songs does not justify the ''Zip Code'' name. No one would think this was a Sticky Fingers-themed show if they had a quick look at the setlist. But I guess the tour is called

Quotekleermaker Of course Ronnie isn't able to deliver a Knocking solo of about the same quality as Taylor's during 2013. That's relevant. I do not agree at all. I was heavily disappointed by Taylor's solos on CYHMK in 2013. All the fluidity in his playing was gone, and he could barely hit the right notes at times. Take this as an example: Ronnie must be capable of p

Question for Taylorites, Would you be happy if Keith quit the Stones and was replaced by Mick Taylor, so Wood and Taylor would be the two Stones guitarists?

Quotestanlove I think GS was awful live until the 1990s. The live versions in the 70s were so much weaker then the recorder version that I can't believe anyone actually thinks it was good. All true. Especially the out of breath 1972-73 versions are very weak. It doesn't even sound like the same song. All the drama from the original recording is gone. The first time Gimme Shelter

I Can't Turn You Loose was one of the many highlights on the Licks-tour. Fabulous version. I would really love to hear it on this upcoming tour but I somehow doubt it will sound as energetic as it did in 2003?...

I've always thought Keith is the best solo guitarist in the Stones. It's easy to say he's never been anything special when you hear the butchered solos he has to offer in this day of age, but If you look back to to 70-90's there are lots of fine solos to discover. Keith often expresses more with three notes than Mick T. and sometimes Ronnie expresses with a whole solo. Just

The absence of Mick Taylor on the next tour feels refreshing, imo. Almost any change is a good change when we are talking about the Stones. Knowing I will never get to see Bobby Keys on stage again however makes me a bit sad.

Dance (Pt.1) vs Sad Sad Sad Dance Pt. 2 would have won, but Pt. 1 simply doesn't cut it. Summer Romance vs Mixed Emotions Very hard, but Mixed is slightly more memorable. Send It To Me vs Terrifying Send It To Me is maybe the strongest track on ER while Terrifying is everything Stones shouldn't to be. Let Me Go vs Hold On To Your Hat Let Me Go is wonderfully weird in a g

QuoteLongBeachArena72 Quite simply, the greatest live performance of their career: Very overrated version imo. The arrangement is way to basic, I don't like simple guitar intro either. The guitar solo's are good, and the overall performance is okay but there has been so many better performances of Sympathy For The Devil.

Gimme Shelter vs. Brown Sugar Shelter is a tad overrated, Brown Sugar has the coolest riff in Stones history which settels this deal. Love In Vain vs. Sway Sway wins by a mile, even though I'm sure Robert Johnson would be proud over Stones absolute redemption of Love In Vain. Country Honk vs. Wild Horses Honky Tonk Women had at least been a comparison. Live With Me vs. Can

Quotealimente QuoteEasterMan Sounds great. The instrument separation is fantastic. And Mick's vocals is exactly were it should be in the mix. The only disappointment is the somewhat dry sound, a bit more ''noise'' if there was any from lower back in the place would have made the performance come alive. Have you ever been to the Marquee? Dancing with Mr. D vs. If You Can't Rock Me A song with Mick Jagger buried deep down in the mix is not a good way to start of a record, but IFCRM is too good to be ruined by a crappy mixing. 100 Years Ago vs. Ain't too Proud To Beg 100 years is a very complete and dramatic song, ATPTB is highly uninteresting. Coming Down Again vs. IORR , IORR is underwhelming on the record

GHS is easily their most underrated album. Coming Down Again - Silver Train - Heartbreaker - 100 Years Ago, are among the very best Stones tracks ever. GHS should have been the 18 track record! If it wasn't for that lame opener Dancing With Mr. D it would have been almost perfect. Some random live recording from 1972 or maybe a killer live version of Mr. D as the GHS opening track, wou

QuoteLeonidP Quote2120Wolf I would like to hear definitions of what one thinks a "Real Stones Fan" is. .... To me, if a so-called fan says that Exile is not the Stones masterpiece, I pretty much dismiss them as a fake fan. I would rather say if a person says that Exile is not the best Stones record, then they probably are a Real Stones Fan since it's an indicator saying this p
