Just got back, what a brilliant show! The band were completely on fire. Managed to get near the front, doubt I'll ever see them that close up again! Seeing Mick Taylor on stage with them was a dream come true. Shame he didn't do more but Midnight Rambler was definitely one of the highlights of the show for me.

QuoteBeantownBoss The bst hyde park app has stones paying for 8:45 to 10:15 which must be wrong.....seems way to short. Anyone have any idea I'm hoping its wrong but Hyde Park does have a really early curfew, Pearl Jam played a shorter set than they usually do when I saw them there in 2010.

Quotecrawdaddy I hasten to add, not the Stones gigs. Got daily email and can buy tickets for Elton at £29, Lionel Richie at £29, and Bon Jovi at £32. You print off a voucher and exchange it for ticket on the day at box office. Must have loads of tickets left for those shows. Hmmm, huge fan of Elton's work and was contemplating buying a ticket, may do if they're only £29. Obv

Really looking forward to this. Don't know whether to get there early or just get there later and be at the back, none of the support acts appeal to me.

The way Keith spoke about having Mick for the shows in the interview certainly implied he'll be doing more than just a couple of songs. I don't know though, I don't want to get my hopes up. Having three guitars, as Keith said, would mean that they could sound more like their studio counterparts by having more of the guitar parts reproduced. We'll soon find out I guess.

QuoteHarlem Shuffler Does anyone who's been to a previous Hyde Park concert know whether or not there has been a "snakepit," i.e. an area in front of the stage that's fenced off for the first two or three hundred - or however many they decide- people to get down there? This has been the case at some Stones gigs in the past. You are given a wrist band so that you can leave a

Quotedrbryant I'm going to get a refund on Tier 2 tickets and instead go for tier 1 tix on the 13th. If it were just a stadium show, I have no problem lining up and running for the front. But a festival style show where you hold your place for 10-12 hours? I did that for Live 8, and it was tough, even though it was one great act after another - 20 minute sets, with lots of entertainment i

That's always the dilemma - comfort or being close to the stage? I've generally been lucky at Hyde Park shows, been up front for Roger Waters, The Who and Clapton there. Each time I just got there an hour before the gates opened. The most I've queued is two hours before doors opened when Guns N' Roses played Birmingham a couple of years back. Having said that, whilst bei

I imagine the second show will happen. It was a while before they announced the second Wembley/Twickenham date in 2006.

Quoteowlbynite Quoteblivet Quoteowlbynite Quotestonehearted I doubt that Bill was thinking of rejoining as a full-time Stone. It is more that Bill is now at a point in his life where he is willing to be a bit more generous in recalling a part of his life [30 years worth] that he has left behind. We read in another thread how Bill was only able just recently to open up emotionally about his years

Definitely a huge selling point for me. Probably would have gone anyway as its been 7 years since I last saw them but it definitely clinched the deal. Really hope he gets to play on more than one song. He's a brilliant guitar player, saw him with John Mayall back in 2004. I think the band put out their best stuff whilst he was in the band, hoping for some stuff off Exile, my favorite album.

QuoteGreen Lady Quotebeepee2 The map was intentionally concealed: it just surfaced after everything was sold-out, and Rob Hallett said it wouldn't change. If it can't change at all in 3 months it means it was discussed, reviewed, signed-off... and kept private while BST was advertising for "circles directly in front of the stage" that didn't exist. Why would they need t

QuoteDoxa In the end of the day I see the biggest problem here that people thought that you can buy that - a freeride for being in the front of stage - like you can do in "normal" surroundings - seated arenas/stadiums. They were fooled to think so, and it is totally immoral and criminal. But a the same time I wonder how much people are pissed off not only that they were fooled but that

QuoteGibson668 Something else that has happened over the recent years, in my opinion, is that concerts, in general, have become 'events' so as to attract customers that wouldn't normally have gone. I'm sure, in days of old, there weren't 'Hospitality Packages'..'Golden Circles'.. 'Glamping' at Glastonbury etc...but the promoters have identif
