QuoteTopi You should have listened to slewan and not rush to judgment! Well the jury is still out on this album, I still think in 10 years time it will be seen as great for 80 year olds having their final roar, but it's far from being the album they could have made, the one i hoped for.

Wow, lovely to see Keith in this mood, a shy man finding his confidence in old age, and with that Guitar play on accustic we see the essence of the real hits, the reason millions go to see these shows, the songs that leave an impression and its all down to those beat up fingers not knowing how he does it but just doing it.

QuoteTopi By the way, keefriffhards, I did a search and found a post about the setlist sign-off process, not sure if correct: Wow thanks Topi for going to the trouble, i guess everything is signed and sealed these days. I have an apology to make, these tracks on this album grow on you, it's really a fun album, and Keith's track is exactly the way it's meant to be .

QuoteDandelionPowderman Maybe you're mixing up Mick and Keith's agreement for concerts with that of albums, Riffie? At least one song is better than none, like on B&L Yes and it's a good song, it really goes deep into you after a few plays, can't get it out of my head already

QuoteTopi Which book was that? Keith agreeing to/signing off the setlist of a show is a different thing from an actual contract stipulating that Keith "gets to sign two songs if he wants to". Who would the contracting parties be in this case, I wonder? And what does "two songs if he wants to" even mean? Keith's got an option of signing 0 to 2? I would maybe

QuoteTopi Quotekeefriffhards I meant since 81" Keith was contracted to sing two songs live while Mick leaves the stage, also since then Keith has played 2 songs on each album so assumed that was also in the contract. As far as I know there is no such contract. I read in one of Keith's biographers books that Keith gets to sing two songs ( of he wants to) since 89' a

QuoteDoxa QuoteTheflyingDutchman QuoteTopi Quotekeefriffhards Why Keith only one song and a short song, wasn't the contract always two Keith songs, sometimes three songs, disappointed. The contract? Very simple: When most people hear Jagger's voice they think it's the Rolling Stones. When people hear Keith's voice they think it is him doing a solo project. That's

If it didn't far exceed what some of us expected is that okay, is it tolerable for a few of us real Stones fans of Stones music to be disappointed.

QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax Sounds fantastic, a raw Stones club show with new songs. Mick's voice sounds good, the guitar twins are on, Keith's solo and the hand claps ... yeah. Sweet Sounds - wow. OK, v distorted, but if we ever get the official shoot, so good. And such a lean version of the ban! Plus Gaga. How a few people can then step up on here and start moaning as if it'

QuoteMonkeyMan2000 Yeah, it's not much of a song really. The verse really does have something but the chorus is very lazy with those ascening Open-G chords at the end that we've already heard on so many tracks. But I don't think it comes down to not having had enough time. Keith has a looot of time to write finished tunes and bring them to the studio. He clearly likes the tune the

Quotekeefgotsoul Hackney is absolutely better than A Bigger Bang. Have any of you revisited abb recently? I dare you to. And I’d love to hear a review of ABB done recently. Hackney Diamonds is way better than ABB by a large margin. I don't think this album is better than ABB, about the same but the two singles off Hackney Diamonds are better for sure. I'll keep what i really think of this album to myself as I'm sure a lot of you will love it, maybe I've outgrown the Rock, i need the Roll.

Nice from Keith, haunting, but needed a soulfull solo like on Locked Away. I got the feeling this song was rushed and sounds unfinished like a demo, also the backing vocal doesn't mesh with Keith's voice. Could have been a masterpiece, missed oppertunity from Keith, just a little too repetitive, leaves me wanting a solo album from him though where he and Steve have the time t
