Maybe Keith can work up Happy for the encore for the private show so Kraft can get his happy ending.

Here’s a good video example of Steve Jordan’s aptitude as a cover drummer: John Fogerty & Friends-Born On The Bayou John Fogerty Jerry Garcia Bob Weir Randy Jackson Steve Jordan May 27, 1989 Stop AIDS Concert Oakland Coliseum Oakland, California Here’s a high quality matrix audio of the whole show:

Hope you're on the mend and feeling better soon, Charlie. As far as other drummers, they could jazz up the Jazzfest show by inviting Zigaboo Modeliste to sit in for a couple of numbers. Hell, invite Stanley Clarke too, and you could practically have a New Barbarians reunion.

Great performance by the Jamaicans today with the sweep of the Women’s 100 Meters, spearheaded by Elaine Thompson-Herah’s Olympic Record Gold Medal run. Talk about your Wingless Angels!

I’ve been to two Jazzfests. Sure, there will be plenty of decent music that day, but compared to the eleven other Jazzfest days I’ve experienced, that line-up is rather lackluster. Thought they would have gotten some of the bigger local acts on board. Besides Kermit Ruffins and Trombone Shorty, what about the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, the Rebirth Brass Band, the Preservation Hall Band, or a

The line-up for the 13th is predominantly local, and short on big names, even for the locals. For $190 a pop for GA tickets with no seating, I was hoping for something more. Hopefully the Stones have some special guests for their set, such as Irma Thomas, Kermit Ruffins and Trombone Shorty. Just received the pre-sale code for the 3-day weekend passes. It’s good for tomorrow’s 12 noon CST pre-sale, so with that and the mailing list pre-sale I should be good to go. They also posted the ticket prices at the Jazzfest site: TICKET PRICING General Admission: $190 Grand Marshal VIP (Pit): $675 Big Chief VIP (Viewing Stands): $650 Krewe of Jazz Fest VIP (Viewing Stand): $47

Okay. So then the pre-sale is the best way to go. I’ve seen $190 per GA ticket reported, and a 4 ticket limit per order. Is this correct?

Does anyone know how many tickets per/order can be purchased at the pre-sale?

I just received the pre-sale code for New Orleans, Los Angeles and Las Vegas for tomorrow (the 28th) from signing up to the mailing list at rollingstones.com, but still no communication from NOLA Jazzfest from my purchase of the 3-day weekend passes for today’s pre-sale, nor a response to the email inquiry I sent them yesterday. Will there be Lucky Dips offered for the New Orleans show?

I ordered the 3-day passes for both weekends of Jazzfest, but still haven't received an email with my pre-sale code. Also checked my spam folder, but no dice.

Thanks for the response Mr. DDDD. Just found this article with answers to my questions: “Mick Said Yes” 1) The other stages will be active, but will all be shuttered for the Stones set. 2) There will be a temporary catwalk built. 3) There is a cap on ticket sales that day.

A few questions about the New Orleans gig: 1) Will all of the stages and the Gospel, Blues and Jazz tents be active that Wednesday like a regular day at Jazzfest, or are they only going to have a few opening acts before the Stones set? 2) The Acura Stage has the largest capacity, so it seems the Stones set will be staged there. Will the normal stage design be enhanced with a catwalk? 3)

I'm too lazy to check, did they offer any links for the pre-sales for the newly announced venues?

Get your jab and you'll have nothing to worry about. I'm wondering if New Orleans will have pit tickets and LD's, and if they will enhance the regular festival stage with a catwalk? The festival doesn't start up until the following Friday, which would give the Stones crew the next day to break down any enhancements they build to the regular staging. Should be fun hanging

Tough luck that Vancouver didn’t pan out, but I am all booked for New Orleans. I’ll catch both weekends of the Jazzfest and the bonus Wednesday Stones matinee. This will be my third Jazzfest, and I’m excited, as the line-ups look great every day and New Orleans is always such a great joy to experience. My cousin told me that Hurricane Season is usually done by mid-October, so fingers cross

Oh well, guess I won’t be going to Vancouver. NOLA Jazzfest is a possibility, although that is in the middle of hurricane season.

Thanks Johnny, didn’t know that obviously. The point still being that older musicians in the U.S. feel it’s safe for them and their fans to perform. Let’s get on with the show.

Farm Aid 2021 just announced their return with a fully attended show at an indoor venue. Willie Nelson is older than any of the Stones, and Neil Young is no spring chicken either.

If the Stones are really finishing off their next album, it seems that Keith would be arriving in England soon. Any sightings?
