YES, I am tired of the whiners, as I am of the ongoing inane dialogues found on this forum! I can't even finish reading 75% of the threads that I choose to read.

Of course no news would be available here or to the public short of a death in his family, however my common sense tells me that his house is undoubtedly equipped with a whole house backup generator, walk-in freezer, walk-in refrigerator, a very deep water well with it's own electric pump, a wine cellar, and a bar. All of that does not rule out wind damage or fallen tree damage though.

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 I don't know if anyone noticed this, but in this thread two pretty obscure shows have been mentioned; witnessed by members here. Chacho saw Denver '72. The evening show (the 'actual' show) has not been well documented. There was a matinee show added, and from what I have seen there is more known about that one. But even more obscure is Auburn

I'm changing "released" to "written", from 1987 to 2012. Here's my list: 1. Terrifying 2. Hearts for Sale 3. Blinded by Love 4. Can't be Seen 5. Break the Spell In other words: The Rolling Stones' writing career spanned 1963-1989. Period. And, if you took "Steel Wheels" off the album list, then their writing career spanned 1963-198

Yes, let's be very careful about mentioning Gram Parsons on this forum, for fear of bringing the pack of jerks out of the woodwork again!!!

The Gram Parsons bashing in this thread really saddens me, and makes me question this forum. There seems to be many posting here on Gram Parsons who know as much about him, his music, and country music in general, as the one poster who thinks he had blond hair at Nellcote. (There are scores of photos taken at Nellcote by Dominique Tarle and all of them show no variation of hair color other than d

I attended the very first concert of The Rolling Stones American Tour 1969, at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado on November 7, 1969. The band flew directly to Fort Collins, why I do not know, it being a city of 18,000 residents and 35,000 students at the time. The following day they moved on to Los Angeles where they did their 2 show gig at the Los Angeles Forum on Nov. 8th

You are right on that one. Waylon Jennings should be added to the list.

In response to the original poster's request of where to start off in country music: Since this is a Rolling Stones Forum, first I would like to recommend the country artist and his bands most closely linked to the Rolling Stones; which would be Gram Parsons. In my opinion 98% of what Gram Parsons did was traditional country music, and NOT "country rock". Gram Parsons was a country
