QuoteWeLoveToPlayTheBlues Quotecolonial QuoteChrisM Interesting to see this thread again. After some reflection, what is really meant by "British" in this context? For the most part, the Rolling Stones' songs were not about British, specifically English, life but something more universal than that so I don't see how "Britishness" really enters into the equation. On

I heard this on NPR awhile back. It doesn't matter by what means one gets to know another. People were doing the same things we do today online before the advent of the Internet by writing letters, ham radio and even the telegraph. The passing of such accquaintences and friends is felt just as keenly as someone you from face to face interaction. On another matter, Naturalust, are you sure

QuoteHis Majesty Quotetreaclefingers QuoteHis Majesty QuoteStoneage That is flag desecration, H M. In some countries that is considered a crime. I would advice you to remove that picture. Some may find it offensive. 4th of July celebrations are offensive to some people. yeah but it's probably not necessary to post it. Nor national celebrations on an international forum. Hmmm how about

Dylan's should be worth getting. that miserly weasel wi

QuoteStonesTod yeah, right. my wife and keith have been seeing all the wrong docs. And my mum as well. I'd love to believe what you write Naturalust but nothing you say here can be substantiated by my personal experience. Mum tried everything you list as "cure" so don't be so quick to disparage others who have not found relief in the methods you prescribe.

Quoteflilflam I can't believe Keith would allow someone else to play for him. Believe it. Ronnie played Keith's guitar bits for "You Got The Silver" during the Bigger Bang tour while Keith crooned.

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotelettingitbleed Sticky Fingers original studio recording of Bitch has Keith on rhythm (playing the main riff) with Taylor on the lead noodling. Wrong Yarp. You got it wrong way 'round. As to the original thread that prompted this one, it was stated that Blondie played filler parts and covered for Keith live. I don't recall anyone saying that Blondie playing

Quotestonesnow Not unless Keef is about to drop dead. Did BB King stop at 70? Just think, if BB King were 70 now, we'd still have another 15-plus years to look forward to--so do the math and the 2 or 3 new albums and tours that compute into that. This statement assumes both men are in the same state of health, which the clearly are not.

Quoteshadooby Roger is forever bitter about his father being killed in the WWII (which is understandable) but if it weren't for those great men like his daddy he would be speaking German right now. P.S. If only Keith could still play guitar like that... Keith could never play guitar like that.

There are only so many computations of eight notes." Catherine Guinness: "Which is rather a lot. I think it's eight to the power..." Mick: "Eight to the power of eight." T
