I have probably done this before but here we go. Five studio albums made this decade. Choose your own ten favorite songs to make a Greatest Hits album. Here is my choice. Which is yours? QuoteRocky Dijon Oof, this got unpleasant quickly. As much as the women in their lives can be celebrities in their own right, it's still people's private lives. Largely, that should be held at arm's length out of respect. If any of us were celebrities, would you want message boards out there discussing whether your wife just married you for your money and fame or to suggest you jus

Sure, steffalicia. But if you have passed menopause chances are very slim to make your dreams come true (...by you I mean women in general, not you specifically). That is the pattern I'm trying to point out. Moral (or jealousy) has nothing to do with it.

Sure, you have a point there Doxa. Reality is not always black or white, sometimes it's grey. I was trying to see the overall pattern here. It doesn't matter if it's Jagger, De Niro, Pacino or Murdoch. There is a correlation between famous, rich old men and young fertile women. Both parts, apparently, has something to trade in that equation.

Besides fame and money there are other reasons, of course, that young women, like Ms Hamrick, wants to marry their 80 year old: Social acceptance and respectability. If they marry it wouldn't be considered just a fling or a love affair anymore. It would be respectable. In Sir Michael's case it will never happen though of course. The reason he supports his lovers careers is also in his v

QuoteTaylor1 QuoteStoneage This has nothing to do with faderhood or even love. It's a business deal. For a young woman, eager to court a geriatric, there are two necessary moves to make. The first is to have a baby the second to get married. Otherwise the rich and famous celebrity may leave her penniless at any moment. A bad deal for her.Thats not what I said.I said that if a father is in

The thing is that an album isn't a big deal anymore: It's all about singles and streaming. So an album from a big artist will have news value a couple of weeks around the actual release; then it will quickly fade away. Let's hope they have a really good single though, with some staying power.

It's not so much the rumors, I don't mind them - they are what they are - rumors. Like the Daily Mail is The Daily Mail. The thing is that I (we) was discussing the subject more deeply, from a broader perspective only to be told that I was off the subject. Then I asked what he intended us to discuss but received a non-answer. So the thread is unintelligible to me until the thread starte

QuoteBig Al QuoteStoneage QuoteBig Al QuoteStoneage QuoteBig Al I disagree with you about the wealth. Fatherhood is about everything and more. If that was the case: Why would these young women hook up with men older than their grandpas? Aside from the money what is the benefit for a young woman to hook up with a 83-yearold? How much do you think Al Pacino or Sir Michael will partake in this

The prime function for a father is, or at least used to be, to be the the economical provider for the family. With these kind of arrangements this is already taken care of. And with a vagabond lifestyle as Sir Michael's his children won't be that emotionally attached to him - rather more to the mother.

Daily Magazine is just gossip of course but a marriage would be a jackpot for her. The common child is a security for her but with a marriage she would strike gold. Sir Michael is beaten by Al Pacino in this respect though: Al is to become a father again at 83 with his 29 year old girlfriend Noor Alfallah. Bobby De Niro recently became a father, for the 8th time, at 79 also. So there is compe

Emotional Rescue was the lead single and the one you remember. Not exactly rock and roll though but somewhat trendy at the time. Dance is a groovy beat and She's So Cold a decent upbeat rock song. The rest? Well... All in all a 2/5 album.

For fans I guess. Not for consumers and tourists though. I think the official site and Jagger's social media is bigger in that category.

I don't get this bad actor talk. Is it possible to be a bad actor in cartoonish films like Robocop? Is it his accent? Is he a bad actor because he has a German accent? I don't get it. And why do they pay "bad actors" millions of dollars?

Ronnie doesn't make the calls within the band. It's usually a sign of no activity in the band when Ronnie starts freelancing. He has been given heads up by Commander. A musician needs to keep busy though so it's a wise decision by Ronnie.

QuoteRobert Johnson today we are happy about the final. I hope you don't settle with that. Because then Canada will eat you in the final. They have a winning mentality you see. You can be the better team after 59 minutes, leading with two goals - Canada will still win on overtime. I hope Germany is mentally prepared for that and not happy with just making it to the final. This is your

QuoteTopi What I meant by marketing is that the NHL has succeeded in making the league increasingly popular in Europe in recent years. And of course it's about money in a lot of ways. Marketing is about money as well. The NHL doesn't actually even have to "buy" the best players. They simply need to draft them (or sign them as free agents). The European clubs do get compensa

QuoteTopi 1936 was also the Olympics. There was no separate World Championship tournament held back then. From 1920 to 1968, the Olympic hockey tournament was also considered the World Championship for that year. You're right of course, Topi. Sorry for my lapsus. And you're right about USA winning against The Soviet Union also. That was the big sensation.

QuoteTopi QuoteStoneage It's all about the NHL these days. Even in Europe. NHL is where the best players play, plain and simple. And they have done a hell of a job marketing their product. It has nothing to do with marketing - it's the money. They simply buy all the talent out there. Draining our leagues and enriching the NHL. That's the simple truth.

Quotetreaclefingers Quotekeefriffhards QuoteStoneage So the fanbase conclusion here is that there is absolutely no need for a new album with original material since their production of new material has been so prolific during the last two decades; spoiling us with new remakes of old songs and new blues covers? I don't think so, DGA35. Germany is a football country first of all, hockey is a secondary sport there. But surely there would be some celebrations? And the World Champions these days aren't really what they used to be before The Wall came down. Which is a pity since it's the only international tournament around. It's all about the NHL these days. Even in Europe.
