Quotetimmyj3 Got mine from Amazon US today. I like it. Sound is crisp and clear. No complaints from me. Glad to have this! Oh, boy! Probably you mixed up the forum. Here we talk about the new release of The Rolling Stones but not praying the 50th anniversary of Sgt. Peppers Moaning and complaining are mandatory over here Look at these beautiful spectra. QuoteIrix Quoteironbelly Call me a weirdo but I have a strange feeling that all these shows will be released soon in physical format DVD/Blueray+2CD/3LP (like earlier vaults releases). Paris Olympia is already available separately at Wardrecords Japan: SD-BluRay+2CD , DVD+2CD Maybe Amsterdam & Brixton will follow .... I know about that one. I am talking about budget-priced edi

QuoteDandelionPowderman There are a few technical glitches that I haven't noticed on my bootleg. - Some noise and muddy sound in the ending of TD - Some almost flanger-ish sounds in the ending of DF The same on official CD. It seems that between 3.35 and 3.47 in Dead Flowers the film was wondering/wobbling around the head. That part is completely chewed. Similar issue between 4.07 and 4.

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteLeonidP Quote24FPS It's B.S. to promote it as Muddy Waters & the Rolling Stones. Only 60% of the band is on the recording. None of the Stones rhythm section participated. That leaves only one leg of the three legged stool. Either way, it's still great. I have ripped the dvd anyway so don't really need the cd -- i guess someone will come on here a

Quotekowalski Quoteresotele actually a bit disapointing : not the release, but the fans here on IORR. Five and a half pages of anticipating a possibly bad release, due to not remixing of the recordings, then, after the release one page of discussion about postcards and posters coming with the japanese release. Then nothing more. Friends, this is just tremendous. THE BEST ROCK'N'ROLL B

QuoteToru A There's just one more thing. Audience applause sounds were annoying me. It seems unnatural. Is that sound effect? This is not the only annoying thing. At 1.54 in Gimme Shelter there is a boom note that sounds almost like the first note of the telephone ring in my office. At that point I'm like a dog at the end of Sgt. Peppers . BTW, what do you think about sound effects b

QuoteToru A Quoteironbelly Nice! Just a stupid question. Is Japanese mastering any different from European? Could you kindly provide DR values. I can't exactly tell what the sound is because I ripped all tracks to 24bit/96KHz by dBpoweramp as soon as I receive it. I guess the same mix as in the movie as you mentioned earlier on. (awful sound all around here and there) Japanese vers

Got a copy from local FNAC during lunch break. EU version in clear jewel case. No surprises. The same mix as in the movie. The same muddy sound and the same distortions all around the place. If somebody hear something drastically different and improved - it is not me for sure. Live in Texas 78 and Checkerboard lounge were also there. But I pass on those because already own CD+DVD.

Quotekowalski I've bought the CD today. After a first listen on headphones, I dont think it's a different mix from the DVD. Juste maybe tweaked for the CD release. Nice booklet though. Is it already in the stores? Because I know sometime in FNAC they use to load the shelves a day or so before the official date of the release.

Quoteboogaloojef Well supposedly the mastering is different on the Japanese version of Brussels Affair that came with the Marquee Club vault release and the version that came with the pricey super box set. I can not speak of BA CD's from the big collectors box but for sure BA flac's from Stones Archive and Marquee Club CD's are different. Marginally different. For Marquee Club bonu

boogaloojef The guy said he ripped the CD with some settings (unknown settings). The rest is just a funny discussion that is not based on anything real but his feelings and emotions. Which reminds me almost classic review from Steve Hoffman's forum: The remaster is slightly compressed, no-noised, uses limiting and has a bass boost, but sounds pretty good . Only detailed mastering details

Quoteboogaloojef QuoteChrisMahavishnu Quotekevinkamphuis unfortunately it's the same lousy mix That's a shame, I held off from pre-ordering the CD as I suspected they wouldn't be going back to remix (or remaster) the show given there wasn't any real promotion or official information about this release which usually tends to imply that it has been put together from existing

These are Russian silver CD's packed with official (and a few bootlegs) material transferred to mp3 with 192kb/sec bitrate. Decca period is represented with ABKCO 1986 remaster (the infamous one), RSR period - mostly Virgin. I do not remember the details, though I used to own all of them. These CD's were widely available in ex-USSR countries in the end of 90's early 00's.

QuoteTheGreek When is the US release date for the cd ? Just wait a couple of days. There will be a release for the ROW. amazon.de states June 9, the rest amazon - June 16. It is worth waiting a couple of days. But if you are in hurry - head for overpriced Japanese SHM edition. Although I do not think it would sound any better in this case.

QuoteDeltics Quoteslewan problem is: if they're gonna release Fonda this fall it means that they won't release a new album this year Not necessarily, last year we got Totally Stripped, Havana Moon and Blue and Lonesome. I wouldn't hold your breath, though. And box In Mono too. I would say it was a bit hard for the wallet

Quotekdsalter Yesterday Eagle Rock Entertainment declared "SF" as album of the week. Maybe that is a hint. And they put out video from Ladies And Gentlemen. That CD (stand alone CD with the soundtrack from the movie) suppose to be out on June 16.

Quotetatters I hate Star Wars. Maybe it's because I saw it on a night in 1977 when some of my friends were at Madison Square Garden seeing Led Zeppelin, and ever since then I've blamed that movie (unfairly or not) for the fact that I never got to go to a Led Zeppelin concert. Will it make you happier?

QuoteDandelionPowderman Thanks. <All other mono versions were issued previously in 2002.> Well, some of them are surely fold-downs. Let It Bleed and most of Beggars Banquet spring to mind... You are right. LIB is a fold down as well as Beggars (but SFTD) and stereo tracks on 12x5. I meant mono tracks. Those on early albums. Anyway, it is always too complicated when you try to sort out

QuoteWhale QuoteDandelionPowderman I thought the BTB version in the mono box was a fold-down? That's not what i understood. Correct. BTB in mono box is unique mix. There are totally about 40 songs with unique mono mastering in the box. QuoteVOODOOSEBI Quoteironbelly QuoteHMS This would be the most exciting release since Shine A Light and L.A. Friday. The Fonda gig was one of the most important Stones-gigs ever, imo. They proved that it is possible to play the album live in all it´s greatness & glory without any Taylor-contribution. A historic event and one the latter-day-Stones most shining hours. C'mon, man.
