QuoteVoodooLounge13 Well wasn't the original LP released with Postcards? I seem to recall that my mini-LP edition from the 90's has these as well..... In that case I look like quite the fool. If there's some historic aspect to the postcards inclusion, then it's not exactly padding.

I'm not sure why they wouldn't include Travellin' Man. It's a great guitar jam.

Seems like a measured tease by talking about the number of hours of footage. It must be obvious to anyone and everyone that the JJF/SFM double hit show closer from 1972 is compelling viewing, and deserving of some daylight.

So the documentary is 61 minutes? That's better than the half hour the docu was reported to be a few days ago. Surely if the documentary is 61 minutes, and it's broadcast on TV, then the DVD needs some extra scenes to encourage the public to purchase it? Although it's not quite an apples Vs apples situation, in the early 2000's, MGM spent a million bucks completely recuttin

Quoteablett My problems not aimed at you sir. I agree postcards are tacky but its happened before with many other artists. I appreciate you going to the trouble of clearing that up.

QuoteVoodooLounge13 And here we have the 10 bonus tracks officially listed...... Interesting that the play.com item description seems a bit loose around the DVD contents. If I paid 110 quid, I'd expect the item as described.

Quoteablett Good idea to actually know the price and quality/content before you start gripping eh? Well this is a thread providing information about the contents. According to the OP's info, the super deluxe set is being padded with postcards. That's my gripe. If you can't deal with that, I don't know what I can do for you.

Quoteablett here comes the moaning...... You gotta love! Eh, perhaps we shouldn't expect anything then you can moan about nothing.... When they start handing out Super Deluxe sets for free, I'll accept it as is and be grateful for it. Until then, it's commerce and the product is open to criticism.

QuoteHelterSkelter I saw MT a lot in the 60's/70's (69, 72, 73,) and I'm ready to see him get back with the Band. Put Ronnie on Bass or have 3 guitar players.... THAT would be show !!! Yo, Jag, you listening? Think of the cash flow coming in I'd hazard a guess that 90% of people that attended the last couple of tours either don't know MT or don't place any signifi

QuoteScooby Out takes? If they were not good enough for the original release of EOMS why should we assume that they are going to be a worthwhile addition to our collections now? Do we want or need "new" material of this nature? I guess that's best answered by considering that a significant portion of Exile was leftovers, as was Tattoo You. Songs become leftovers for a variet

Apparently there was a man in a lavish dressing-gown and a smart pair of PJ's with a pipe in hand seen leaving the scene where Brian was later found dead. The investigation is looking at Heff.

If future deluxe reissues are dependent of sales, I hope they have realistic expectations. I would love to know the financials on this project. I think we can safely value the IP on the old tapes at zero on the basis of opportunity cost, but studio time, manufacturing etc., plus whatever Jagger wants to value his time at all adds up.

So that's why those Virgin remasters sound so inferior to the newer and better UMG remasters - Ludwig ONLY spent one day remastering each album! Hahaha, peace people.

QuoteBliss >>I'll let you take Jo out for codffee and a nice conversation, I'll just borrow Kat for a bit... Considering that Kat worked in what was later closed down for being a brothel, you'd be lucky if you didn't end up with herpes or worse. They call 'em champagne bars or something over there right? Anyway, I'll just be sure to tarp up then ;-)

So what are they going to include on the DVD from L&G and CS Blues? By My count, there's six Exile tracks on L&G. I can't remember what's on CS Blues. If they're just referring to L&G and CS Blues as an amalgam of the filmed performances from 1972, then maybe 20 or so minutes could just be six or so live performances of Exiile songs.

QuoteFreeBird Well, that's a fair warning... It seems likely that they'd mess up Exile as well, unless someone (Mick?) decides to stop them from doing so. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess... I recall reading somewhere recently, it may have been Jag's recent RS interview, that Jag's (and maybe Keef too), were in studio for the remastering process. I consider tha

Fair point Gazza. I've seen a rough boot of CS Blues, and honestly it doesn't interest me that much beyond the concert footage. But my point about L&G complete on the DVD still stands. My original vision (hope) for this deluxe Exile release could be characterised under a working title "Look what we did in 1972".

I'm not sure I'm quite understanding this DVD inclusion. Are they saying it has 10 minutes of @#$%& Blues footage, 10 minutes of Ladies and Gentlemen footage, and 10 minutes of the Stones In Exile documentary that will be a broadcast program? Kind of like a sampler disc. Or does the Stones in Exile program have 10 minutes of the two respective 1972 films as part of it? They could&
