The Ft Collins 1969 version is very good IMO, but the audio quality of this show is lacking. Taylor plays some very interesting sequences that I haven't heard on other versions.

Exactly. Those last notes are surely MT.

That's my favorite version of Love In Vain too (L&G soundtrack). Even the slide solo is stunning. I really like MT's solo on I Don't Know Why I Love You. It's not technically brilliant, but musically outstanding.

The Paris show is a fantastic performance. You are very lucky to have attended. It's All Over Now, Baby Blue is fantastic from this show. As I recall there are 2 recording from Paris '84. The bootleg "Les Temps Changent" is an EQ'ed version of one of the two audience tapes. It's super hot, and a bit clipped.

I have Can't You Hear Me Knocking in midi. Sounds really cheap, but they get the notes to the intro right, and it's pretty funny.

Use My Imagination from Hamburg 1984 is stunning, and no Bob on stage, so Taylor really lets loose. I laugh every time I listen, because Taylor is so brilliant on the solo. It just keeps going and going and going . . . . He's playing the Strat for this song.

Wow, the few notes we get to hear from No Expectations sound great. Possibly the best MT band version yet?

I would vote Quadrophenia as the best, IMO. Also, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road would be right up there on my list. Of course, Exile deserves a mention, but it rates lower than the two noted above.

QuoteChrisM Yow funman! That's a great collection! My Les Paul is 1998 R8. The Bigsby is not factory installed as I put it on but I can see yours is a factory job. Tell me about your Historics please! Your R8 has nice figuring. Perfect. Nice Strat too. I had an early '80's Squier Strat, but gave it to a buddy years ago. Wrapped it in lots of bubble wrap, put it in a box, and m
