I'm from a Panama, the land of Roberto Duran and many other champions. We've had 30th world champions in boxing wich is outstanding if you considered that our population is less than 3 million. So boxing is very big here... This is a video of many years ago when the US had their military bases around the canal. There was a bar that had the ring and anyone could just go up and figh

If there is any truth to this, it will be a tough year for Rock n' roll considering that Oasis also splited. But we are so used to comeback albums/tours that no one really takes this news too seriously, especially without the formal announcemet from the band. In any case, in the 47 years history of our favorite band we've seen the dissapearing of countless great bands...

Jagger strutted out from the wings after U2 had started playing his Rolling Stones song, "Gimme Shelter," and belted it as a duet with the Black Eyed Peas' Fergie (and a little vocal help from U2's Bono as well). Next came an even more surprising number: a soulful, low-key duet by Jagger and Bono on the U2 song "Stuck In a Moment That You Can't Get Out Of." The

A Stones collection with mysterious origins By RON CORBETT, Sun Media The Ottawa Sun OTTAWA - Deirdre Black writes me an e-mail and says she has a weird story to tell, not sure if I’m interested, or if I’ll find it as weird, but she sure enough believes she has a weird story on her hands. Sort of a mystery. She then adds: “It’s about the Rolling Stones. I hear you’re a fan.”

I think that most of the people that go to Stones concerts are not die hard fans and they expected the show with gimmicks as well as hearing mostly warhorses. Is expected.

How much of the success of the Stones merchandise could be attributed to the tongue? Are there any numbers on this? I remember many years ago reading an article on Fortune Magazine with Mick and Keith on the cover. Rolling Stones Inc. Here they separeted their incomes by record sales, concert sales, merchandising, rights for use of stones songs on movies, commercials, etc. I was su

Sorry if this topic has come up here before, but for me it has always been a great story how Mick did not hire a "professional" designer for their logo and gave the opportunity to a student at the Royal College of Art. Pasche described how the design, based on Mick Jagger’s mouth, was created to represent the band’s anti-authoritarian attitude. Heres part of the story : John Pas

It will be interesting to see if the Stones will take the calculated risk to do something similar to the 360 concept which will guarantee a lot mores seats on stadiums...on the other hand this set up will make stadiums feel a bit empty if you are not getting the same respond as before. In any case, is a way to meet numbers faster, something to considere when you don't want to spend
