I'll definitely find out, thanks stonesrule! I'm on my way to the library now. It must be hard to live in the now when you've had such an interesting life, but I wouldn't really know. Your other book sounds fascinating as well! Please let us know when you publish it, or let your publishers let us know

QuoteNoCode0680 This is a little off topic, apologies, but this seems like as good a place as any to ask. And I'm sure it's been asked (probably 100) but glancing around I'm not finding it, but is there any word on when the next one is coming out? The only thing I know is what it said on the Google Music site about "more to come in the following months". I would imagin

Quotestonesrule Yes, very sad. But Jimi did accomplish so much and he loved his guitars more than anything. You should be able to find my book on JH in the library -- title is JIMI HENDRIX: THE MAN, THE MAGIC,THE TRUTH. I waited a very long time to write it because I prefer to live in the Now but it was meant for people like you who have soul. Incidentally, I don't really recall that

If someone can find me a hi-res version of this picture, then I could make the entire cover from scratch. Rockman?

Quotestonesrule It was Jimi's last birthday. He loved the Stones, especially Mick, and was proud that they had been supportive of him even before he arrived in London in 1966. Really? He was into the Stones' sound that much? This is quite off the point and random, but sometimes I get really sad about his death. I was born 30-40 years after he died, but I always think he never hea

Correct me if I'm wrong, friends and neighbours, but Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin both watched the Ya-Ya's show at Madison Square Garden, right? I know there's the footage of Jimi backstage, but did he watch the whole show? And wasn't some other famous musician there too, on the night?

QuoteGazza Quoteyorkey Ya-Ya's. Brussel Affairs is amazing, brilliant, but it can get a bit repetitive, fast paced open g riffing for an hour, whereas Ladies and Gents and Ya-Ya's are more, I dunno... Varied, perhaps. you say that like its a bad thing. I have to take my open-g riffing in doses, otherwise I might just collapse under effects of the sonic waves.

I use this program called dBpoweramp Music Converter, which takes it from FLAC to Apple Lossless without any change in quality, and that you can play in iTunes.

Haven't heard the new release of it yet, but you mean Taylor's immense lead soloing is mixed down on YCAGWYW? Scandalous!

New York Dolls, right? I've never listened to them before, but I will. To be honest, their debut album cover freaks me out a little bit.

The guitarist is honestly pretty good (without the Keith moves) but the singer is hilarious. Top class comedy.

QuoteSo someone who owns all of their records but due to an accident of geography, youthfulness, inability to travel or lack of money hasnt been able to see them perform - not once, but twice - isnt a 'fan'. That's me in a sentence. I'm in South Africa, 17 years old, Stones aren't touring, don't have money. So yeah, I'm not a Stones fan now? Pfft...

QuoteCocaine Eyes Not true at all. The more #'s a topic has - ie. #The Rolling Stones - the more likely the topic will enter the TRENDING topics. And all of us should type #The Rolling Stones on twitter in order for them to trend. Get it now? And what will that achieve?

Man, it's amazing. I've been playing it nearly everyday since watching it at the cinema and finding it on YouTube, but I'm waiting for the DVD release! This song converted my friends to Stone fans, and we'll play this song with our band.

QuoteEdith Grove Charlie said on 25x5 "5 years working, 20 years hanging around" so figure it out. 5 / 20 = x / 50 =12.5 years =4562 days 4562 / 18263 x 100% =25% If my calculations are correct, the Rolling Stones have worked on 25% of all their 50 years. Interesting isn't it? No, not really.
