That is a great one, mitchflorida. That Angel looks like he's dusted up on PCP. Pretty much any song from that movie.

Quotewith sssoul there are a few Stones topics i'd love to see books on, but they'd need to be books i can afford - i'd never see them if they were ritzy collectors' editions. (i have nothing against ritzy collectors - i'm just not one of them) Fair enough, with ssoul. Let me rephrase my Subject -- "Stones photograph books you would like to see if you didn'

Now that Genesis has published Exile and the TOTA 1975 books & Ethan Russell has a great book on the 1969 American Tour (plus the StarF*cker: The Rolling Stones Live in London '76 Hardcover), I would personally like to see: 1. A book covering the 1972 American Tour 2. A photo book on the Stones Mick Taylor Years (sort of like The Vinyl Experience book except hardcover & A L

Awesome clip, mtaylor. Thank you for posting. It's funny that Ed Bradley asks Ronie about how he stopped partaking. Has Ronnie ever stopped? As for Mick Jagger, was he just a cocaine user? I have never heard about Jagger taking anything other than coke, even in the Spanish Tony book.

QuoteMTWEMISSYOU Without a doubt it's Keith that plays the over dubbed guitar on the acetate. Mick's solos on JJF from the tour has more flare and inspiration to them than Keith's overdub. I am glad that they didn't use the over dubbed version and released the no solo version as they did. It wouldn't of been right to NOT include the Taylor solo and substitute it with an o

Quotemidnrambler Some people say that Stray Cat Blues is from Baltimore 26th with overdubbed vocals. From -- Stray Cat Blues: Music Baltimore 11/26/69, vocals overdubbed. Two musical "markers" were identified. Missing Turnaround Verse #4 ("It's no hangin' mat-tar..." ). A lessor possibility: 11/28/69 1st. This is noted due to the "Champaign Variation&qu

Does anyone know who plays the guitar solos in JJF on the third Broadway CD? I have seen it listed on different websites as both Keith and as Mick T. I can't listen to the Ya-Yas JJF anymore without thinking something is missing

Quotecanadian.sway no word from anyone eh? Sorry, canadian.sway. I live in a very urban area of the eastern U.S. and I haven't heard a peep. I would love to see him live, though.

Quoteiamthedj The DVD advertises Mick as having a cameo appearance. I've skimmed the entire thing twice and can't see him anywhere. Any clues? I feel your pain.

Thanks for the heads up and your offer to try and post this recording. As an American, I would hate to miss out on hearing this show.

Quotehbwriter How many people in the world, after viewing Gimme shelter, think the Burritos opened with bubbles, confetti and a good-time vibe? I get creative editing and all that, but that single cut to me is downright deceptive - sort of like changing history in the editing because they clearly imply the show starts off an up note with the Burritos Santana opened - then the Airplane - THEN

Interesting. I have never heard of it but perhaps someone else on here has. Rockman? vancouver? Out of curiosity, is the interview from the 1968 Surrey Rehearsals LP? If so, I'll get out my copy & give it a listen.

DaveG, did you see the afternoon or evening show? Also, have you heard any boots from the show you saw & how does the boot compare to your memory of the show? And how about your memories of the Philly & MSG shows, schillid and BeelyBoy? Being too young to have gone to any myself, I am always happy to hear fan stories from anyone about the shows from the Mick Taylor Years.

I think the Stones were rather tied to Ampeg. Sponsorship money & all that. I would have liked to hear Keith play through a Vox.

Quotemccparty Years later he was in San Francisco for a screening at the Castro. It turns out he was staying at a hotel where a good friend of mine worked. After he checked in he said to my friend Tim, "Here, will you hold these?" He was handing over the ORIGINAL prints of CS Blues. He could care less. He treated it like it was nothing. What a nut! Not that I would ever advo

My one & only time: 10/23/1997 at Jack Kent Cooke Stadium, Landover, MD. About a week before the concert, I heard on a local classic rock station that The Rolling Stones had just released a number of tickets for this previously "sold out" show. I immediately went to the local Ticketmaster office and asked for a pair. When the person at the counter pulled up the available seats

I just like LPs, which is why I bought the Super Deluxe set. But if your CDs came in a digipack tray, I'm not surprised a CD cracked. I have had so many CDs crack in those things that now I store all my CDs in giant CD wallets.
