Quotekovach Quotejlowe QuoteHonkeyTonkFlash I'm just curious ow much actual guitar playing did Chuck do on this release? In recent years, his live work was horrible. I know he's a legend and all but still... Yes, I remember reading some of the reviews and it seemed the concerts were pretty wretched (according to the reviewers). Couldn't retire gracefully I guess. Pity it took s

Knowing now that this has you and your families blessings (vs. being rushed out by a record company/promoter, etc.) is really all that matters. Thanks for the clarification, and my deepest condolences CBII. Looking forward to hearing the album in it's e

QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteCBII Glad to be here. I haven't posted on the board for some time however, I saw some interesting things said and I thought it best to provide a bit of clarity. Thanks so much for posting and clarifying. Apologies for the rude posts earlier in the thread questioning the motives etc. Some people seem to look for negatives in everything. The riffs are Chuck Berry 101 played to absolute perfection by, I assume, Morello. They're too clean and spot-on to be the Chuck in his eighties who essentially rambled through shows. The lead near the end is definitely Morello in that it has his sort of sta

Quotelaf848 Instead of a Chuck Berry tribute album, why not link up in the studios with him and help him finish HIS album. "Chuck Berry and the Rolling Stones"...has a nice ring to it. I agree with you. When was the last time, Chuck Berry made a good album. Oh, around 1979. The new one is a Monster!

QuoteMore Hot Rocks Anybody watch Van Halen on Jimmy Kimmel Live? I don't think David lee Roth sang one note on key or on time. Pretty sad...... Pretty sure Dave broke / fractured or bruised the hell out of his nose. Kinda impossible to sing in key when that air pathway is hurting or injured.

QuoteRomanCandle Lou Reed about Yeezus: QuoteKanye West is a child of social networking and hip-hop. And he knows about all kinds of music and popular culture. The guy has a real wide palette to play with. That’s all over Yeezus. There are moments of supreme beauty and greatness on this record, and then some of it is the same old shit. But the guy really, really, really is talented. He’s r

Quotemighty stork So Sam Smith is this years Grammy darling for his song "Stay With Me". Since it was ruled that Tom Petty's song "I Won't Back Down" was the underlining melody for Smith's song shouldn't Petty have been awarded also? I'm sure Tom and Jeff Lynn are more than happy to just collect their share of the royalties. It's just business..

120. Re: .
With me not being very versed in British tax law I can only use USA Tax law as a gauge. Here, a business property can be depreciated overtime which means the property can actually be used as a tax write off whereas a personal home cannot. The UK has apparently figured out very wealthy people had been listing homes as a business property and figured it was time to address it. It's one of
