Quoteleteyer QuoteStoneage Which concert you liked or not is down to personal experience. To question that leads nowhere. If you liked the 2006 tour...you liked the 2006 tour. Doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about that.Absoloutly...At least, it shouldn’t I think, we agree, that let´s put an example, the tour in 72 was better than 2006. Why we agree in this? Because they were bette

QuoteHairball It didn't pass muster way back then in '74, it wasn't resurrected and reworked to become part of Tattoo You in '81, and finally in 2020 they scrape the bottom and add it to a Deluxe set. Not saying it's bottom of the barrel quality, but there's reasons they neglected it all these years - it just doesn't pass muster. And now, it's simply a

One of mey all time favourites Two questions: 1. About 30 years ago I owned a version of "save me" which included a stormy ocean in the end of the song, Jagger screamed "Save me!" and got drowned. In my memories, that was the best version of this song. Anybody knows it? 2. Is this really different / better than the known boot?

Quotedmay "Sounds to me like a jam in a rehearsal room." In a general sense: Sometimes the best music sounds totally off the cuff and unrehearsed. There are a number of things by the Stones, Neil Young, Dylan, Springsteen, others, that are alternate takes/not polished releases that sound better than their official stuff. There are rehearsal things - jam like - by the Stones that soun

Ok, the last real stones-album was ABB. CH is miles better. B2B was quite good but very different, I can't compare. VL is a bit better in my opinion. I don't think, it makes much sense in going back to the 80s...

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteGasLightStreet Quoteliddas QuoteDandelionPowderman Quoteliddas I always had a bad relationship with vocals in general. It’s a sort of mental block. I have some general knowledge of music, but don’t understand singing, not even the basics. I can normally say if an instrument is out of tune, playing the wrong note or has a bad timing, but vocals are Arab to me!. If I had to

Quotewiredallnight Quotedeardoctor Thank you. This is a strange thing with the howling guy. Wonder, how he did this. Must be the one, that took the recording and made it public... The broadcast of the show was with 5.1 surround sound. The howling guy was in the rear (surround) channels. Most releases are a stereo mixdown of all (front + rear) channels, so the howling remains there. This one is

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotedeardoctor The versions of the licks tour are better than nothing, I wish, I´d been witnessed to one of them. They released the four-flicks version (paris 2003) as a single b-side. A strange deciscion, ´cause Jagger missed the chorus... It was already released on Four Flicks for the world to see Yes, you´re right of course. But would that bother the Stones? I
