QuoteBjorn Yes. But what do I know - my first NEW LP for over 30 years. But the other one I bought was Bobby Gillespie/Jehnny Beth - Utopian Ashes - and that sounds great. Ian Hunter is playing it low... You may need a phono amp.

Quotevant0037 No worries. Sort of what I figured. I just don't want to sell the wrong extra. If I have to pay $799+ for one and $545 for the other, I may as well get the free stuff. Ah well. There will be a PIT A for Seattle going live for sale whenever they turn resale on! I don’t know how it will be in LA but the free stuff was actually pretty good in Europe last year . It includ

Is it too cynical to think that the “test” might have been information gathering by AXS for use in their pricing algorhithms?

There doesn't seem to be enough "buzz" about the new album. I think it's time for Keith to make another one of his carefully timed "controversial statements" to the press. You know, Sgt. Pepper is crap, snorted father's ashes, Mick has a little mick, etc. He's usually so good at getting publicity.

Just got back from seeing him at the Budokan. His 100th Show there. The promoter gave him 100 roses, and Eric seemed genuinely happy. That was kind of cool.

It's funny how, all these years later, songs like "Love Me Do", "Please Please Me" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" sound catchy and pleasant, but . . . very old. But then you have the Stones playing "Not Fade Away", with Brian wailing away on the harmonica and it sounds timeless. I guess that's the benefit of the blues. video:

QuoteGasLightStreet Quotekkhoranstoned Good morning Do you think any type of benefit for South West Florida.. Was jamming to tampa 21 great night I know Mr jagger has a house over there.. Highly unlikely. They're not active. Ian will be forgotten in another week just like Mexico Beach. It's not New Orleans or Manhattan. Unfortunately, I think that is true of most natural

I have this buried away somewhere on DVD. I didn’t like it very much when it first came out. But I find that I love the recent Hampton and Leeds releases. What’s the general consensus - are the two new releases better than LSTNT or is my memory faulty here?

Quotewickerman While a visit in Australia and Asia is long overdue, I think logistics and risks of such tour are too tough to handle. - Part of Asia is still closed due to Covid restrictions - Japan hasn't fully reopen yet. - Australia and NZ had very tight set of restrictions - that can be reimposed if another variant or virus emerges. - Distances travelling between Asia and Australia

I went to Munich, Brussels and Stockholm. I thought they were all good, but Stockholm was greatly helped by the fact that they opened in the dark (roof closed). Maybe it’s just psychological, but everything seems crisper and more alive with the darkness and the spotlights/light show.

Wrong - that royal greenhouse, used for the Brussels design, IS (in fact: very-very much) "associated with the city of the concert." YOU just don't (didn't) know about it... ...But I bet you do now; and that's a

Quotedeeeskannnie Quoteazera45 The T-shirt for the Brussels concert has a greenhouse on the front. Does this have any meaning to Brussels? This is (are) the Royal Greenhouse(-s) of Laken, a borough of Brussels (FL/D: “De Koninklijke Serres van Laken” – FR: “les Serres royales de Laeken”). It is, most definitely, though maybe one of the lesser-knowns, a Belgian landmark. There’s a distinctive

I was able to make the show in Brussels. Arrived around 13:00 and the taxi had to drop me off a block away because roads were blocked. Saw the huge crowd in front of the hotel and realized the Stones must be staying there. I was sooooo tempted to cancel an afternoon meeting and hang out in the lobby for the Stones. But at the end of the day, I was a good boy and went to work. A friend dr

These kinds of threads do better when the Stones aren’t on tour. As it is, everyone is too busy with the tour, setlists, videos, etc. to get too interested in Beatles threads. Obviously, you put a lot of time into your your very long and well thought out post and so it would be a shame to waste it. I would bump the thread after the tour is over - it will probably get more attention then.

You may, sadly, be right. The problem - and the touring industry won’t survive this unless it changes - is the requirement by insurers for testing. Covid is not going to go away, it will be wi

QuoteMichaelLassen Since the biggest study I´ve found concerning the effectiveness of wearing a mask (done by objective research in Denmark) showed little to no evidence of any significant effect, my answer is a big no. Also considering the very real and harmful effects of wearing one. If I´m sympomatic I´ll look into wearing a gasmask under a Darth vader costume and make moves like Jagger in

In Japan, Covid has never been a major cause of illness or death (1/3 US population but 1/30 deaths). Population is older and Vaccination rate is not that different (80% two shots 65% three). So it’s either because of masks (99% wear both indoors and outdoors) or because obesity is very low, or both. It might be that masks don’t help that much and it is the obesity that is causing problems

In Japan we usually wear masks but not “N95.” I am thinking og getting some for The next show because if I test positive, I won’t be able to come back to Japan. No disrespect to angreat city, but I dont want to spend a week trying to work from a hotel room in Brussels while I try to get a clean test result!

In Japan, close to 100% of the population wears masks, even outdoors, although it has never been required. I was in the pit in Munich and didn't wear a mask. If there is a US tour, I will probably wear a mask because if I am sick, I would not want to pass it to so many US fat people, who seem to die at a much higher rate.
