Quotepotus43 QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash Quotepotus43 none of these shows will sell out Most of them will for sure but it will probably take some time. They are still the greatest rock n roll band in the world and still make many people happy, enough to sell out huge stadiums. Oh they will call it a sell out but it will not be full. 2015 is proof Those of us who go to a lot of Stones shows aro

Quotepotus43 They will not sell out MetLife. Too big The capacity number posted on the tour page (80,000) is for football. A typical end stage setup for a concert might eliminate 30-40% of the stand seats while adding 3000 - 4000 on the field, so real capacity would be in the 50,000 range.

Yeah, unless they are planning day shows (which isn’t impossible and wouldn’t be unprecedented), May can be pretty risky in Denver or Boston. I’d prefer arenas but don’t want to play 50 and Counting prices. We shall see.

QuoteTopi On Facebook, someone pointed out that the Boston hotel prices being up on certain weekends may also be because of college graduations in May. But still, just for example, take a look at hotel Renaissance Patriot Place in Foxborough, MA on the weekend of May 10 to May 12. You're looking at 1,340 USD (!!!) - non-refundable - a night, whereas the weekend before it's 236 USD a

A tough call. But, I’d have to go with Auckland , New Zealand. The last show with Mick Taylor and one of his best performances on a 14-1/2 minute version of “Midnight Rambler”. It felt a bit “final”, as if everyone knew it would be Taylor’s last curtain call with the band.

Quoteslewan she's the only support act so far who used the Micks catwalk… beside that: her music is boring – all songs sounded more or less the same (at least to me) and all the songs she did in London had a very similar structure: first verse sung nearly acapella/with little music by her band, then the percussion sets in, the music gets loud, her voice's 'above' the louder m

She put on a great show in front of an audience that appeared largely unfamiliar with her music. But she was working hard for every bit of applause she received, and by the end of the show she had most of the floor section singing along. I didn’t like “Wild Horses” but her set was very good.

Of course the Stones stole it in the first place, from the Staple Singers haunting rendition of “This May Be the Last Time.” The song is public domain so no infringement. video:

I bought this box because I managed to get the $179 price. I still have the older box and it sits sealed on my shelf because I read that sound quality is not as good as the originals, which I still have. On the bright side, both boxes cost me less than the £399 pit ticket I bought for Friday’s show. How’s that for self-justification? I need help.

Got there around 5:30, grabbed a nice spot on the rail on the far left side. A couple words of warning. The pit was really full. I think they are putting too many people in the pit. It was a massive crowd and a very good latter-day Stones show. It’s clear they like being on stage - great to see.

QuoteStoneage I guess the thing is that if you went to the concert you have invested time, money and love into it. Then you don't want to hear someone who have seen a 45 seconds long clip on Youtube in poor audience quality telling you that it wasn't worth the effort. Quite understandable. I do understand that reaction. Really? It never bothers me when I read posts on a Stones Foru

I remember for the Led Zeppelin O2 show, the exact opposite occured. Almost no one on the Zep fan forums seemed to have been able to get a ticket in the ticketmaster sale. I searched everywhere and after two months, found someone willing to sell me his ticket for 250 GBP. Then the promoters announced that all ID's would be matched and any ticket that did not match the ticket purchaser

QuoteHairball Quotemosthigh QuoteHairball Groupon wow...and I thought selling through Costco w/discounts was the low point. Feel bad for those who paid full price, but I did mention when sales started it was worth waiting for price drops and discounts - there was NO way they would sell all those tickets at those ridiculous prices. I imagine the secondary markets will be cutting prices by at lea

Quotetreaclefingers I was also at that 1990 show DG...I wonder how many concerts we've both been at through the years? This will be my first time seeing Paul Simon live. I took a look at the set list from Portland, and although it may disappoint those who have seen him recently (as it apparently doesn’t differ much from his recent shows), it looks like a good selection to me. Looks like

Don’t remember any public hints - I was pretty young but read everything I could on the Stones. Including articles in microfiche in the local library (remember that?). The Stones themselves weren’t prepared it seems. Could it be that he was BS’ing you and got lucky?

QuoteGangster-of-love So what about the U.K ticket sales in general? Can't find out if they running well? Hard to tell but definitely not as tough to get tickets as in Europe.Probably due to a combination of factors-prices, obviously, and also the sheer number of shows as well as competition. There are a lot of acts playing London this summer/fall. Clapton, Roger Waters, U2, Taylor Swift

QuoteMeise There were times when those people got front of stage, who were at the venue early enough to be among the first that could get in - counting for Europe, btw. That ended when FOS was introduced, which was slightly more expensive than normal standing tickets. That went on until last year when the "American model" was introduced: the more you pay the closer you get to the stage

Not sure why. There are still quite a few pit tickets unsold in hotel packages and VIP packages. I would be on the lookout for ticket drops. Good luck everyone. Quotesyrel Quotejohn lomax Quotesyrel Quotejrcjohnny99 Quotebrownsugar86 I'm sure it's been discussed many times before in other threads, but how much roughly do you think each of the 4 get for a show in London etc. ? After expenses. Based on other big bands, it's probably pretty close to a million each per show; if you look at gross per stadium show being 8-10m for a 50k stadiu

I hope they have a new film to open the show. I thought it was kind of lazy of them to open with the same Sympathy intro that they've been using during the middle of the set for the last 30 years.

QuoteSilver Dagger Has anyone bought a Pit ticket at regular price for either of the 2 London Stadium shows this morning? I kept trying for May 22 and just gave up, since the flight I was able to get on points won't arrive in time for the first show. I'm already in for the pit on May 25, although I had to pay a "platinum" price of 540 GBP on ticketmaster. On the bright
