QuoteBeast Competition watchdog intervenes in Viagogo's $4bn takeover of StubHub Regulator says deal between controversial ticket resale firms would harm consumers The UK element of the takeover of ticket resale website StubHub by its rival Viagogo has been provisionally blocked by the competition watchdog, throwing the future of the controversial $4bn tie-up into doubt. The Com

Seen lots (too many to list), but never saw Jimi, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Free, and would very much liked to have seen Queen (with Freddy). Saw Springsteen at somebody's recommendation and because the opportunity presented itself. Wish I hadn't bothered quite frankly, it won't happen again ! Very glad I caught Tom Petty at Hyde Park, the poor man died soon afterwards.

I am just waiting to use the tickets that I already have, which are the WHO at the RAH and Wembley Arena - both of which have been postponed until ... ??? F**k knows when - at this rate ? And a couple of other things as well. Got the ticket alert for Clapton at the RAH in May 2021, declined to buy. I don't trust the world situation. What with socially distanced gigs, god knows what kind o

QuoteBOBM Considering the pandemic risks of crowded concerts and the Stones' ages, I think it is well possible they will not tour again. That would leave me personally with some gaps in my live song version collection. Soundboards wanted for 1989 and later performance: Have You Seen Your Mother Baby (Standing in the Shadow), Mother's Little Helper, Miss Amanda Jones. I already have

QuoteRisingStone QuoteGazza The derisory way he was underused last time he played with them was one of the most wasted opportunities of their entire career I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again — The boys should have let Mick T play Midnight Rambler onwards and stay on stage till the end of the show for the 2012-14 tours. That would have made the “50 and Counting” years even more memorabl

QuoteGazza If they can tour again in 2021 (and right now thats a VERY big 'IF') I'd expect them to play the North American shows that should have happened this year and then play Europe in summer 2022. The usual formula. Both those tours could just as easily be pushed back another year or maybe not happen at all. I wouldnt be surprised if they never tour again the way things are a

QuotePaulhanrahan I had the privilege of seeing Tom and the Heartbreakers at both Royal Albert Hall gigs in 2012 - fantastic memories. I was out of the country when those tickets went on sale, and even resorting to every trick in the book (with the notable exception of dealing with scalping c**ts) ... could I get a ticket ? Nope ! The demand for those RAH show was unprecedented ! Finally made u

QuoteRip This sleazy... Some years ago when his mighty dad (stepdad I should say) was separating/had already separated from his mother, he ended up literally flogging any and every bit of RS 'memorabilia' he could lay his hands on ! Our is perhaps not to pass moral judgement, but it might be at least fair to say that he certainly didn't pass on any opportunity to turn a buck, cap

Quotebv The covid-19 pandemic is the biggest life changing pandemic since the 1918 pandemic, and the largest blow to the economy in ages. People do still walk around without masks in high-risk areas, making political statements. That is why this pandemic will stay alive many places in the world, for a long time, and that is why there will not be any Stones shows in large stadiums for a long long

Quotebv I don't think Miami 2019 was their last show. May be the last show on a major tour. Whenever there is a vaccine, in 1-2 or 3 years time, they should be able to play somewhere in UK. Not too much travel, except for Keith, and back to where it all began, in UK. That is just my personal thought. A dream ending that would indeed be ! Back in the UK, where it all began !

Quoteschwonek Hey, dont know if that has been posted. Found this Charlie quote on FB and was wondering where it came from. Is it recent? It could very well be from 1982. "It's hard to stop, although I personally think the time is coming up to say goodbye to the Rolling Stones' tours. The legs falter and the body can no longer endure a hangover day." "It's

QuoteStoneage I think the real question is whether 60-70's acts like Macca, The Stones, Elton and Rod will stop touring. I guess many are afraid of that. I think that they will continue as long there is money to be made from it. And why not. I don't think Charlie will tour in his 80's though. There is an end to everything. Difficult to see him touring in his 80's, but you

QuoteThePaleRider When I think about it I realize that this golden era of music we've all experienced may be coming to an end and it's completely disheartening! Our rock heroes are aging and we are likely not going to have any live concerts for possibly years let alone going out to see a good bar band. Live shows have always been the backbone of rock and without the exhilaration and atm
