QuoteHouseBoyKnows Howard announced on his show today that he had briefly spoken to Keith to set up the interview. No date set, but perhaps next week. Meanwhile he is talking about how great the band was and still is while playing classic riffs. Of course this is all part of a media blitz that is just getting started in the US HBK A good sign for more things to come, be they just connec

QuoteTopi QuoteIrix Quotepaulywaul So if they largely stick to the formula of recent years, would that likely mean Europe 2025 ? Could also be other markets in 2025 and Europe after that. Where do you see them playing in 2026? Not sure I do see them playing in 2026 ? A bit too far ahead to even consider things like that, me thinks ! I can see 2024, 2025 at a stretch. But 2026 ? Lets

Quoterbp Why on earth do some people believe the band will play live? It has been billed as a conversation with Mick, Keith and Ronnie. Worth "dreaming" ! You never know, dreams have a habit (on occasions) of coming true. Regardless of how it's been billed, this particular dream might come true. Then again, quite possibly not ? Either way, we will soon find out !

Quotefrankotero More and more I'm starting to love this title and graphics. A great throw back to the 1960's. Personally I believe this is the right approach for them, instead of trying to be faddish. The younger people will respect this too if they really like them for who they are. Come on Stones!!! The Rolling Stones machine has always been good at the marketing aspect, no less so

Retirement ? Filthy word in my opinion. These days, what with folk generally living longer than in past times, I think that many people choose to continue working beyond the formal retirement age. Some choose to, some perhaps need to, but in general - many do so. I think that often the work in question isn't necessarily a continuation of their career - so to say. It's something

I really can't wait for this new album, they've rather exhausted the GREATEST HITS thing, the "ROLLING STONES LIVE" thing, and even the FROM THE VAULTS thing to a lesser extent. So new songs at this point in their illustrious career to date are very very very welcome. If most of the material is as good as Living In A Ghost Town, then whoopee ........

I think the question is being asked mainly because folk might be thinking that because of their age now, maybe a slightly scaled down (in terms of stage size and all the running about etc) show might be the way to go ? Personally, I think that a general scaling down (venue size/stage size/less running around) of what they do might be the way forward, perhaps a combined fully electric show and

Quotefrankotero I think a lot of us feel the same way. But I do believe there's something left in the tank. I would like to think that there is still something in the tank, but the continued deafening silence suggests otherwise to me ... even though I kind of dislike myself for thinking like that and saying that. I often play that MP4 recording on my phone of Tumbling Dice at the Wa

Thought I would wake this thread up, because lets face it, we have a 123 page long thread about 2023/2024 tour plans (about which we know nothing), we have a 701 page long thread about the new album (about which in real terms we also know as good as nothing), so why not have a discussion here about "the Rolling Stones and their future". After all, we know nothing about that either.
