I recall reading somewhere that Love You Live was going to be a mix of the '73 and '75 tours, but in the end, Mick decided it was better to just move on past the Taylor years.

Yup...ACDC stole the thunder from the Stones that day. The crowd was absolutely exhausted by the time the Stones hit the stage. We had been out in a blistering heat with little water all day. Many had walked miles just to get to the grounds due to limited parking. ACDC came late in the day and played short, snappy versions of their greatest hits to an audience that was ready to party. After they

Quotebobo Whatever people say but to me this is the most overrated band to walk the earth. 3-4 songs I can listen to. No, that would be AC/DC. They are the best band in the world for 3-4 songs. Then they are the worst band in the world.

QuoteTornAndFried Hopefully the "Peace Out" means they are going to retire after this tour. Another once-great band that has continued on for far too long. I shake my head reading comments like this. What's your point? I doubt you have a problem getting out and seeing some old guys playing the blues.

Two of my favourite statements he made...RIP "The Beatles didn't lead the '60s cultural revolution. They just organized it for everyone." "The '60s didn't end at Altamont. They ended at Kent State."

Jeff Beck was my first rock concert. July 23, 1975 at the O'Keefe Centre in Toronto. I had missed out on the Stones the previous month! I couldn't get a ticket. Jeff was great! But he did not look up once throughout the entire set. Not even at the end...

My favourite Ronnie Hawkins story... It happened sometime during the '80s in Toronto. Ronnie was at a car dealership looking over some cars. The manager and a couple of employees approached and asked him to leave! In fact, they threatened to call the police if he did not leave. Ol' Ronnie's appearance was obviously a little too 'grizzly' and 'homeless' for th

Speaking of how the younger generation views this release. They are about excited with this reissue as we would have been in 1977 with a reissue of music from 1932...Thankfully, I'm of the older generation and can't wait!

Quotefranzk While mourning the death of Charlie some seem to forget that Mick, Keith, Ronnie, Darryl and others are human beings and they are alive and have their plans and opinions. The Rolling Stones are not us. We don't have any right to decide what they should do. If they want to continue they will. They've been doing this for almost 60 years now and who are we to tell them to stop?

Quoteterraplane Keep on rolling Mick, Keith and Ronnie. If your heart is in it then take it to the end of the line. Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Of course, they keep playing. Charlie would have had it no other way. We are shocked and saddened. We will mourn and grieve Charlie for now. But for the others and ourselves... "Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
