Quoteliddas It is truly amazing how diverse human brains work. Whenever I put CH on, all I have to do is turn the volume way high and what follows is more or less 1 hour of bliss. Most of the times I have to repeat tracks. Further pro, It's one of the few stones related records that my lady likes! Is it better than Bang or Babylon? Don't know, and don't care. Know wha

QuoteDoxa Quotestone4ever I always pay attention to your reviews Doxa, from a musical standpoint you go deeper than most reviewers , i remember your review of CH was initially sort of in the middle, you hadn't made your mind up that it was good or a dud, but on later posts you did warm to it and actually gave it a 4 out of 5 from a 3 out of 5. Just saying. Haha... that 4 out of 5 must

QuoteDoxa QuoteStoneage I do remember almost everyone praising it (CH) when it was new though. Seems to be more of a mixed feeling now? Haha, there was LongBeach, me and a couple of others who spoiled the party there. Anyway, I learned my lesson there and stopped taking Keith Richards seriously any longer in terms of saying anything critical of him (I guess what I wrote above was the first inst

QuoteStoneage I do remember almost everyone praising it (CH) when it was new though. Seems to be more of a mixed feeling now? Be honest mate, this is about the most hostile place in the world towards Keith, it was overwhelmingly received as a great album on its release because many people who are not regular posters came along to give their opinions on the new album from Keith. The only neg

Quotestillife In the latest Stones albums there are some good songs but in many of them I think there is a big influence of Mick Jagger solo kind of songs and a decrease of quality. Crosseyed Heart seems to me a solid work with an overall quality that I don`t find in the latest Stones albums. What do you think? Oh God yeah, you have to go back as far as Tattoo You to find a Stones album as good

QuoteKRiffhard I think the best line-up was with Drayton on drum and Jordan on bass. That band knew how to Rock, great quality clip there KRiffhard thanks, he also played Struggle on SNL that night but can't find that anywhere. I agree that line-up was the best, wonder why it changed.

I don't follow or understand the last post, we can be a fan of the Stones without having to think that everything the Stones do as people is great or whatever. I don't look up to Keith for his Heroin use or Ronnie for selling paintings or ridiculously expensive books etc. MJ isn't some God like figure above suspicion or critical judgement, all these stars are flawed in vario

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotetriceratops Here is Keith at his supreme powers. Very energetic and very participating. He is as decisive and as slashing as Jagger. This was 25 days before he fell from the coconut tree in Fiji. The Rolling Stones - Live in Saitama 2006/04/02 - Video proshot - 27th show of the tour And here he is, doing the same in 2013: Yes he moved and played brill

That was an anti climax, Salt Of The Earth would have been so much better and given Keith more to do, but haho these things are always going to be about Mick, on the bright side thank God we didn't get Miss You, and nice to see Charlie smiling. Damn Keith looked cool though.

Mick allegedly seduced Rae Dawn when she was 15. Story from the Daily Mail newspaper. She's the Girl in Mick's solo video in 85. This supposedly took place 8 years earlier in 77' when Mick was 33 and Rae was 15. Strange that she has waited so many years to put this story out. A bit depressing if true. I remember reading Mick was allegedly in Epsteins black book of contacts,

I'd like to think they live long enough to celebrate their 60th anniversary with a farewell tour in 2022. It's only 2 years away, it's possible.

Cheers Palace, that must have been surreal up close to Ronnie going for it, i guess he was about 48 years old at that time. It all got a bit messy for Ronnie later in life but he had the intelligence to stop drinking and seems to be enjoying the last chance saloon.

Quotepowerage78 I'm hallucinating to read some things here. Better, better, better... It's scary. As the tour progresses the band are bound to get better, its nothing new to the Stones, consider they play an average of 16 gigs a year, of course there is room for improvement after each show. My God Keith came in rusty as he usually does, he's still rusty, Keith gets going as thes

QuoteStoneage QuoteStone4ever ep, they seriously need to watch the LSTNT Movie from the 81' tour, that's how to play LSTNT Back in 1981 they were in their late thirties. Now they are closing in on eighty. It's like saying to Björn Borg on the veteran tour that he should play like he did in 1981. Ask yourself: Is it possible? Yes but they play Rambler and JJF as good as ever, I

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteTheBlockbuster Quotepowerage78 Interesting proshot... No sound filter. Yeah I wonder if they add some extra compression on Charlie's drums to make them sound more powerful through the speakers, which might be missing in this proshot. Also the lack och room reverb and audience sound makes the band sound less impressive. The sound is dry, straight off the soun

Quotejumpingjackflash5 Keith is mostly focused on music. He runs the ship well. And plays (with occasional mistakes which I don't mind live at all) strong riffs, awesome timing and with big soul. That's great! QuoteSipuncula Finally got home at 1AM after dropping everybody off seemingly all over the Houston area. One of the best shows they've done out of the 10 I've seen

I thought i heard Gimme Shelter as good as i was ever going to hear it at Jacksonville, and then what do you know, Keith and Ronnie go one better in Phily. Keith was asked in an interview by Chris Evens in 1998, "who is the best guitarist out of you and Ronnie" ?? Ronnie playfully said "well Keith knows I am" when asked the same question, But Keith's answer was on the m

Quotepowerage78 Keith is back ? Hé, who wrote here he was gone ? I think he was just far better in Philly. PS : good SFM version He was gone, I was worried, but he has worked hard and is back IMHO. He even looks to have slimmed down lost that bloated look and is moving much more. But isn't this just typical of Keith, he's the comeback King of Rock. To be critical of him i c
