I know it's the same basic set up, but I like tonight's stage much more than their own that they've been dragging around the country this summer. This one looks more modern. That gold border on their stage just looks so tacky.

Shows have been amazing. Trey is more than capable of filling Jerrys shoes Keep in mind they picked Trey for his own style, tone and sound. The dead have always been about the adventure of taking risks and bringing new life to their songs. They could've very easily hired a Jerry clone, but they didn't. This is supposed to be a new experience. They are very different than the ston

I see quite a few people saying "we can't expect the band to be who they were in 1967!" That's all well and good. How bout asking them to play like its 2002? I just wanted to talk about these shows for a minute. I was only in my first year of High school. My mom started taking me to concerts at an early age (my first was Elton John & Billy Joel in 1994 at Giants Stadium).. I've always loved classic rock, it's what I was raised on. In November 1997 she brought me to my first Rolling Stones concert- B2B tour at Giants Stadium. I wa

Okay, first I'll go with the ever present setlist complaint. These are not cheap shows. 19 songs is a slap in the face, and only 3 SF tracks on a tour supporting SF is pointless. Pearl Jam is one of my other favorite bands, and their shows have actually been getting longer with age. The last tour was averaging 35 songs per night. I understand they're 20 years younger, but they still cha

I don't mind the warhorses- they are some of the most amazing songs ever written. But, especially given the price of these shows, would simply adding 2 or 3 more songs really be that difficult for them? I try so hard to justify getting to one of these shows, but I can't justify spending the money. Every show I watch the setlist hoping for something that's just not gonna happen. And

It's pretty conservative, that's for sure. To be honest, I've accepted the fact that I've seen the Stones for the last time. I was late to the party (B2B tour) as im only in my 30's, but in the 20 shows I've seen I have some great memories. MSG in January 98, Wachovia Center 2002, even Atlantic City 2006. That said, this current tour does nothing for me. From the

Question about the stage: Are there runways in front of those giant screens on either side of the stage that Mick used to go out to the sides ?

I know its been discussed already, but that stage is pathetically underwhelming. At least with the ABB/ Licks/ B2B/ VL tours there was a visual spectacle and state of the art staging to go with the high ticket prices. This year, not so much. Bargain basement production. That said, here's hoping everyone has a blast tonight! Hoping Dead Flowers and Sister Morphine show up!
