You guys are making way too big a thing out of this story. He was just on the wrong fret, happens to everyone from time to time. Maybe he was really loud in the monitors and as already said above didn‘t notice the key center. Maybe, and I think this was more what was happening, his ego just didn‘t allow him to acknowledge the hickup and that‘s why he didn‘t adapt...Either way no big deal

I know they don‘t play solo tunes but I was somehow hoping that Keith would play Make No Mistake to remember Sarah Dash, escecially with Steve on drums... Seems to have been a fantastic concert anyway...I love the little licks Steve throws in to pay homage to Charlie: The dotted quarter notes at the beginning of the second verse in IORR or not playing the hi hat on the twos and fours in some (or

I don‘t think that they should change their name. That they continue without Charlie is clearly a sign that they want to continue to play music and it seems that they see the band more from a musical perspective than from a nostalgic view that defines the identity of the band by its members. As that seems to be the case I think it would be great if the three of them incorporated the other band

I mean as Voodoo Lounge lies only two albums of originals back I would be fine with them using some of the great outtakes to make a new album or to finish the one they're so reluctant to release. Would make a modern day Tattoo You...

I think Baltimore by Nina Simone would be done very interestingly and with much style by the Stones. They're great at reggae grooves and building up a daunting atmosphere and it suits an age-related slower playing style. In the same vein groove-wise but with a very different vibe is I Get Wild / Wild Gravity by Talking Heads. Being a massive fan of Feel On Baby I guess they would do this fa

Quote24FPS Music is less and less irrelevant to a mass audience. It's more segregated than ever. Most old folks don't want to hear new music. The idea of actual people performing their songs on actual instruments, without autotune, seems passe. Sorry, but that is ignorant and an insult to all the musicians that are still making relevant music. There‘s more music around than ever and j

Mind you Mick Jagger. If you release music that mixes blues and rock with contemporary elements you will be called a wanna-be pop star, who apparently follows every step of the Biebers and Swifts. "That's not creative, that's pop shit! I hate Disco, only dubious people listen to Disco! Too much synth! Stick to your Roots!" Then you decide to release just a basic straight-fo

Great choices Bastion! I especially love Nicolas Jaar's and Thundercat's new ones. My only concert this year was Nicolas Jaar at the Tones on the Stones festival where he played a beautiful piece together with a cellist. One of my favorite albums this year would also have to be Gorillaz' Song Machine.

Yeah there's many interesting ones, All About You or Sleep Tonight... Sweet Virginia is weird too, because that B7 resolves so flawlessly to the A. But I guess that's a country thing and can be explained by looking at the B7 as a secondary dominant which would lead to an E chord which would than lead back to A, but in Sweet Virginia the E chord is just omitted in that part. I guess

Waiting On A Friend Hampton 1981 and Miss You Studio Now the worst: For me it's the released version of Think I'm Going Mad. Wayyy over the top kitsch. That fast minor pentatonic run somewhere in the middle...horrible. I much prefer the subtle sax that's playing the riff on the bootleg version with Keith's vocals.

QuoteMelBelli Hey MonkeyMan2000, Here’s a look (not by me) of the Andalusian Cadence. Context is Paul Simon’s “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover.” Of course, all I can hear now is “Struggle”! That is great! I love that channel. I think the great thing with Struggle is that the cadence is used so sparsely, that makes it even more spicy. If you like that kind of stuff you might like Paco Ce
