Great life with some of the best rock'n roll bands, his book is an interesting read. The Stones did see him backstage in Brisbane in 2003 I remember Sam on Melb radio 3RRR that Keith wasn't that pleased to see him.... RIP Sam.

I saw Marty Stuart in 206 in Memphis not knowing what to expect as I wasn't that familiar with his songs, he was fantastic and the band were superlative! His way out west album of 2017 is worth checking out. I hope he can make it to Australia one day.....

Correction BV the Stones cancelled Hanging Rock in November 2014 due to Mick's issues with his voice I think largely bought on by bad sinus which Melb is known for in spring. I was most annoyed as that is in Melb where I live!! Hunter Valley show went ahead.

Yes I agree Wandering spirit is an underrated album, great songs and musicians playing on it which deserves a re-issue with some live tracks from that gig. Mick doesn't seem to really bother with his solo albums which compared to keith's solo efforts are a bit lame.
