QuoteSpud It's doubly a shame that Mick should be suffering with a "lurgy" affecting his pipes when his live singing has been arguably as good or better than ever over the last couple of years. It's a huge frustration for a singer and I bet the timing has really pissed him off. Mick in Adelaide SANG at least as well if not better than any show since the 2012 start of the

QuoteDoomandGloom Maybe they are not the best version of The Rolling Stones but there is a level of sincerity coming off the stage these days. There have been some true gems recorded recently. CYHMK from Anaheim, JJF from Glastonberry stand up to any live moment from anyone. SV from just the other night was as good as anything gets in 2014. Maybe they are not as great as they once were but the

When we say "this tour", can we tighten the definition to Europe/Adelaide? If so, I agree that this is the least "plastic" or "Vegas", with the most all round dedicated effort by all 4 key members. No reliance on stage gimmicks, just honest playing, and absolutely no weak link or member that had to be carried as one or two of the 4 have been accused of since at leas

SW/UJ tour used a significant number of songs that had not been played live with any regularity in the past. Does anyone else feel that it all seemed pretty sterile though, when you look back at the videos from 1989-90?

Anything on Brussels Affair at all (referring to official version) - absolutely superior. I can listen to this album daily without fatigue. From 1989 onwards - I'd only consider the live stuff (as seen on the Youtube) magical or captivating as of this last tour (2013-2014) since the time Ronnie started working his arse off live and covering a lot of slack for others - we all know what cha

Can anyone tell me of a better rendition live, of Wild Horses, since the iconic definitive 1976 Knebworth performance as seen on RollingStonesVEVO? More than one person has said the Adelaide performance is the best since Knebworth. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

We not only had Stones Week with the boys staying in town, but a tour opener with the whole band in great form. This is not always the case as we have seen from other legs of the tour earlier this year. These guys give the greatest live show in 2014. I would have rather heard All Down the Line than LARS, and Worried About You than LSTNT. Both of which are fair possibilities, played in Europe.

There' a cool moment during JJF when Keith and Ronnie jam on past the ending and you can see Mick snarling at Keith twice before they come to a tidy ending. Then Keith throws in a few extra notes just to irritate Mick.

QuoteDandelionPowderman Looks like this was a great show. Thanks for all the uploads! Hard to say whilst caught up in the show at the time, but from reviewing the Youtubes, we got every cent worth and 110% from the band, especially Mick who was in magnificent voice. This show set the attendance and box office record for Adelaide Oval. I believe the band is just getting better with every sho

Stage was nice and low. Standing up people's heads only obscured the band's lower legs. Tim took the solo on Miss You, was not a copy of Bobby's, and I can't find a youtube video of Karl's Brown Sugar solo. I was just wide of the screen on Ronnie's side but could see the whole stage just fine, though the chairs were only 300mm wide and cramped side to side.

Quotewinos Mick's voice sounded a pitch too high - I've never seen him sound like that before which is not a criticism it just sounded different. It doesn't show on recordings but live there was just too much top on Mick's vox. I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed this.
