Sorry, but The Beatles are useless to me. I never liked them. I can tolerate listening to 2-3 of their tunes. I have been Stones all the way since Satisfaction single came out in June 1965. Though this by George Harrison is good ---

In 1970 Cooder said in Rolling Stone Magazine: „The Rolling Stones brought me to England under totally false pretences. They weren’t playing well and were just messing around the studio. When there’d be a lull in the so-called rehearsals, I’d start to play my guitar. Keith Richard would leave the room immediately and never return.“ I thought he didn’t like me! But as I found out later the

"released to cinemas on Friday, February 11, 1983--- Wikipedia" I remember the exact night we went to see it. One or two days after it was released. It was a Sunday night and 3 inches of wet February snow was on the ground in Harvard Square. We saw it at the theater right in the center of Harvard Square. It opens up great with Keith doing Under My Thumb, then Mick coming in after ab

One of the best quasi-Stones tunes ever. This is in my top five of Stones. It has some variations that can be found on YouTube. Such as the original take that Mick did with Steve Winwood and others. Eventually the Stones "stole" Traffics producer, Jimmy Miller. Who was half brother to Judith Miller of the NY Times, who achieved her own recognition and fame. Their father Was Bill Miller

Just my opinion, but Mick has always been the instigator for another tour. That Charlie and Keith would just as soon stay at home. Keith has been playing so well and has a new enthusiasm since he quit drinking and smoking. Now it is Mick and Keith who are the forces behind a new tour. So chances are good that the Stones will have 13-15 dates this fall. Maybe Australia + NZ + Latin America. Plu

Two cool promo films from way back. Of course, I'll go more with film #2 which is live or has a fresh new backing track rendition that the Stones are miming to.

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Well now we can officially put a fork in them, though really I think that could be said several decades ago. Saw them about 5 years ago, playing the full Joshua Tree album, for very cheap in Buffalo - the only way I would have ever seen them. Glad I can say BTDT, but have never been a fan of Bono's narcissistic ego, or his politics for that matter. My opinion is ident

Love all them gal pics... Young women wearing Roiling Stones t-shirts etc. For them it's wearing a grandpa T-Shirt? Sorry but their minds are mostly vacant, and they threw it on today. Or this year. Or last year. It could be any year.

My favorite Stones from way back. I keep getting amazed as they play this every night. Were Micks assistants reading here, this board, that we all love this throwback? Just might be. This puts me back into a time machine when I was young and stupid and even innocent. My comment is more synth marimbas and more prominent. I believe Bill Wyman (actually it was Brian Jones) gets the marimbas credit

Quotecoffeepotman From one TV celebrity to another MEGA STAR. He should not be offended and should have left Mick alone. Winkler should have known, I'm sure he didn't like being interrupted by fans while eating dinner when he was in his prime. Plus Mick probably has no idea who Winkler is. Right. Mick did not know this guy coming up to him and saying, "I am such a fan".

Quotewaterrats Sorry for posting this quite off topic, but I found this pic particularly funny... Title: "When you’re a rock star but your opponent is Alain Delon, (1968)." Twitter I was wondering who that man was. The woman must be Marianne Faithful. Mick born 1943. Mr Delon born 1935 and still alive and kicking.

Mick is looking better than Adele, and she doesn't sing Baby You Are Out Of Time. Though that tune would sound better with 30-60 seconds of just marimbas in the middle. It needs lots more marimbas prominence.
