QuoteRocktiludrop QuoteMartinB I don't think Eric would agree with this, given his history with JJ and his songs Eric's a gentleman, I'm not. Seriously though Eric's a modest man, he's not going to turn round and claim his own version is better. This is everything but boring. Great video I have never seen before.. From 2008 Eric is very energized and Steve Wi

I love it, great performance! It was a bit ragged, so why not rehearse it a few times to make it better. And put in a Ronnie solo on slide or doing other country (type)licks. As in, let Keith concentrate on the

QuoteStonedAsiaExile QuoteMarhsall Anybody got a guess @ what those 15 songs cost Mr. Kraft? At least 5 million. Nice to have that kind of change lying around and can get the World's Greatest band to play for ya Like my friend likes to say, "Life is short". And at Robert Kraft's advanced age... You go do the math. BTW the story of how Robert Kraft got ownership of The

QuoteCooltoplady Just let Ronnie do the leads He already does, so he gets The Stone's eternal MVP award. Especially for cleaning up his act as far as drink and drugs, so that he can take on the extra burden. Which he enjoys immensely, so this is a burden/not a burden. I must guess that at a certain point Mick and Ron had a sit down, where Mick told him to please clean up your act, because

So cool they are playing "Living In A Ghost Town". I hope this turned out to Mick's satisfaction, so that it will be played in other venues. This tune must be difficult to pull off live. Perhaps they used some taped effects?

Hollywood went 100% unmasked at the Awards Show last night. California sets the pace, so The Covid hysteria/hypochondria is lifting. People have had enough. The only madness spot now is Australia. New Zealand is still in the Kooky Kovid Zone but are such a small population they do not register. As far as I know all upcoming Stones concerts will be in the open air of stadiums. Not in confined i

QuoteBig Al Quoteterraplane QuoteBig Al Am I the only one who couldn't care less about Eric's varying stances? I listened to Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs for the first times in years, recently. He'll always be the very-best British blues-guitarist in my eyes. Judge him by his musicianship. For me, that's all that matters. I agree. The best. His solos in White Room,

@Norbert "a song with the refrain "Oh lil Liza, lil Liza Jane" was sung by slaves before the American Civil War. The name "Eliza Jane" was a standard character in minstrel shows. A "Liza Jane" tune was first published in 1871. The book "Negro Folk-Songs", published in 1918, documents a version associated with a dancing game. Couples would dance

Quotebye bye johnny Quoteslewan it seems that Bob Dylan has cancelled his fall tour before it was announced… That's the talk on Expecting Rain. Remember, ol Bob had the bird flu 20+ years ago. He was very very ill from it. He was ill for a few months. This is a respiratory disease. This makes him more vulnerable to Covid. My opinion.

Quotejbwelda And maybe I misread this, but he sent for a serious Stones collector to...bring an original copy of Sticky Fingers to EQ from? How "serious" do you have to be to have an original pressing, there were only about a billion of them pressed up. jb What this means is Don Was did a search for a Stones collector who had SF that was never ever opened up. Cellophane still intact.

About this tour and some future Stones tours: Mick and Ronnie will always be raring to go. Keith not so much, but he wants to outlast Mick. Keith knows how to pace himself. During the last American tour, between concerts he was taking a private jet back home to Connecticut. To preserve Mick's voice The Stones need three day interludes between performances.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida by Iron Butterfly used to make me cringe. I have not heard it on radio in years. I guess it got weeded out. But it used to be on rock radio all the time. Perhaps so the DJ could wander off to take a piss or go make it with his girlfriend. I see on YouTube it is 17 minutes long. It was tortuous, it was awful. You turned the radio dial off or to another station, or you died. I

Quotetreaclefingers Well ensuring you have a good level of vitamin D is just generally a good idea as it helps your body fight all infections. In Canada most people have low vitamin D levels and taking supplements is a good idea. My doctor suggested 2000 IU's daily. I read you can go up to 4000 IU's but after that it's hard on your body. 15000 sounds like you'd be poi
