Quotemakemeburnthecandle I’d like to become a friend of the Kraft family. Please make any recommendations to assist with this goal. Thanks in advance! If you’re in the quick massage business that would help.

Truly shocking. She was a star of the stones internet community from the beginning. First met her at the Glimmer Gatherings at Giants Stadium during the bridges tour. Seems like yesterday A tour with no Charlie and no Debbie Tiger. The bad news just doesn’t stop

Rolling Stone died years before Charlie Now just a rag not fit for the birdcage The numbskulls who now run it should look up who their paper was named after Really?? How many rock stars got a cover when they died? An actual rolling stone dies and gets a brush off He deserves BOTH a cover now and a special issue later

QuoteTopi Quotemickschix Many of the songs I'd love to hear are 4 chord wonders from the 60's...not hard to master...like " Connection" or " She Smiled Sweetly"..or even " 2000 Light Years From Home " which they opened with YEARS AGO! ( maybe not as easy as some others) My question is why rehearse so many songs and end up with basically the same 17 tunes

Re the Boston Globe’s investigative journalism: 1. If the stones are in Boston they are rehearsing, not eating chowder or visiting bunker hill 2. They will not rehearse at a stadium for weeks they never do that 3. Who is old friends with anyone in the Eagles??

Sure they love what they do. The fact that they net millions per show is a big part of why they love it. Let’s be real. And it’s not a knock at all.

QuoteMore Hot Rocks QuoteWitness Especially at this time I don't find it warranted, but instead tasteless for me as a casual Rolling Stones fan either to advise or prophesize. I'd rather not do that later even, as I consider their choice the prerogative of the band's core members. Ought we not as fans have some respect towards them that way? I feel the same way. People please j

Charlie Watts was a man who lived his life the way he wanted, never seems to have hurt a fly and did nothing but bring joy and happiness to millions of people. We celebrate a life like this. We don’t mourn for Charlie we mourn for ourselves who go on in a world a little darker, with this reminder that we’re all just a blink of an eye.

QuoteCindyC Let people say what they want to say... everyone is different. It is too early for me to think about what this means for the band/shows. I just am thinking of the loss, and it is profound. How quaint. The idea that everyone is entitled to their opinion without being called a f**** as**+++. What a pre internet idea of communication

Quotestrat72 America is not the place for a Stones tour at the moment. There are far to many nervous nellies there at the moment. They should cancel, wait to see if Charlie gets better, finish and release the record if there is one, and then tour next summer in Europe, and then call it a day. Don't assume that the nervous nellies here reflect the general population (or potential ticket-bu

QuoteStoneage Is there no statue of limitation in US law? I mean, to come up with an accusation after 56 years have passed... There is no US law, there are 50 sets of laws. In New York, there was a special law enacted a few years ago suspending the statutes of limitations for cases of child sexual abuse and providing a window for filing such cases. Many many cases have been filed against

QuoteTheBluesHadaBaby All the LED screen talk reminded me of another thought I don't think I've seen here yet. At every show, maybe during the band introductions, I fully expect for Charlie to be projected onto the screens in a brief but live (complete with the usual annoying but minor dialogue delays) video chat with the boys and Steve, and a brief hello-how-are-you to the crowds. I doubt Mick picked Sicily as a place to spend the summer. And while the mafia exists on Sicily, I don't think Mick has much to worry about from them unless he intends to start a carting company or something like that.

QuoteIrix QuoteRokyfan Discussing replacement of the sax soloists really adds nothing to the discussion of how the replacement of Charlie Watts will affect the Stones' sound. How Charlie's replacement will affect the Stones' sound - we will hear it end of September .... True.

QuoteIrix QuoteRokyfan Replacing the drummer, the engine. Replacing the sax soloist on half a dozen songs. There's really no analogy here whatsoever, is there? The original question was to replicate Charlie's style - or to play within its own style. Therefore the analogy in the reply. No not at all. Sax solos are be definition collateral, expected to be different every night, imp
