The whole end of the show was embarrassing. I got up at 2 in the morning and watched the live UK feed then switched to Philadelphia....waiting with Dick Clark promising something out of this world. Mick and Tina! Great! OK, didn't need to see Mick in the lime green leotard, but I quibble. OK...something EVEN BIGGER coming?! DYLAN, KEITH AND RONNIE....OMG OMG OMG! Wait...what is

QuoteStoneage Okey, videos aside (they are just promotion tools). I would rank Scarlet first among the three new songs before Criss Cross and Living in a Ghost Town. Sure, it's outtake material but it has a good hook. And almost anything from that period is better than the post 83 era. The most disappointing thing about Scarlet IMHO, is that it is a great hook, and had so much more poten

Quotestonesstein I was there and stared at the monitors of Keith, and he played so little until someone somewhere was filling in. that was my sense at the Seattle show last summer as well. Keith really didn't play all that much. It was the Mick and Ronnie show.

It's Ok. Criss Cross is better. Guitar is good but the vocal isn't very interesting.

QuoteHis Majesty Quote24FPS Keith and Bill countering each other creates the fantastic tension in the song. Brian's contribution is minimal at best. Tambourine? Acoustic strumming? The greatest song of the summer of '65. Typical ignorant mind set about Brian. By varying his rhythm and playing against the piano, drums etc etc he is part of the 'fantastic tension'. .

Assuming good health, I think this extended time off will drive them a bit stir crazy and they'll be all the more interested in performing. I wonder as well whether they may actually put together enough music for that album, recording as they did with Living In A Ghost town. What the hell else are they doing?!

QuoteValeswood QuoteDandelionPowderman And what exactly did KEITH do wrong at Live Aid? It was Ronnie who busted three strings, and it was Bob who was lost, if memory serves. Keith looked sober to me. BTW, Mick's performance at Live Aid was very good. His band not so much. Wasn't it Bob that bust a string and Ron, the great side man that he is, gave him his guitar? The fact that

QuoteWitness Maybe controversial, but personally I do think though that the influence from the Otis Redding version on Stones later live versions of "Satisfaction" detracts somewhat from the greatness of the song, compared with the earlier live renditions of it from the Stones, that is, the few I have heard. I guess that parts of the menace about the original song is lost that way.

QuoteSKILLS QuoteDGA35 Are there many drive ins left in the US? There is one just outside Vancouver that has become popular with everything else shut down. I remember going to a drive in in nearby Chilliwack back in the 70s when I was young with my parents and siblings. Bryan Adams filmed the video for Summer of 69 there shortly before it closed. QuoteGazza QuoteChacho They can't get back on the road. We are in the middle of the worst pandemic in 100 years. Yes, they could do a "Tatoo You" type album. In my opinion their song writing days are over with; judging from what they have released since "Steel Wheels". That's why they should stick to a "Tatoo You" type album. Either that, or let &
