I was travelling back by train from a work meeting and saw a push notification on my phone, it must have been around 5.30pm UK time. I got a few strange looks from my fellow passengers when I said “Oh f!*@ not Charlie”. When I got home I logged on here and read the tributes all night.

I was at Edgbaston last night to see England comfortably beat Sri Lanka. Before the match I was in Birmingham city centre, the vibe was fantastic and I spoke to lots of people from all over the world. So proud of my city!

That was one of the best shows that I’ve seen. It was slick and it rocked so many highlights and the only negative was Sasha on GS, she doesn’t gave the voice or sass that Lisa had. Mick with her at the end of the runway just didn’t work.
