It's a shame how hard that coronavirus hits the elderly and also the minority community.

Quotecrholmstrom QuoteMILKYWAY That coronavirus is taking everyone out. I think Florian's death was cancer related. Cancer and coronoavirus? Some people can't get a break.

I didn't realize what a great guitar player he was until I heard a bootleg of him from the 1970s.

Quotekeefriff99 I'm just posting these clips to remind my fellow Stones fans how lucky we are to have Mick Jagger in our lives: You Really Got Me (live) Unchained (live) Dance The Night Away (live) Was that a joke? It looked like a blonde Liberace.

Glad that you liked it. I have been meaning to see it. Tarantino's soundtracks are usually good overall IMHO.

Quotewoody Hi Kurt I have this book and l unfortunately paid top price for it, It is better than all the genesis publications Boksburg l have, including Exile and TOTA Deluxe. I do hate to see these collectors editions reduced so heavily, hence why l will not be purchasing this one. Agreed on so many levels. I wish Mr. Russell well.

Hello: I am sorry if this topic has been discussed before. I searched and could not find a previous thread on the topic. I am interested in downloading audio files of Rolling Stones concerts from youtube onto my hard drive (I have a Mac laptop) and then burning these files onto a CD to play at work. These CDs would be for my personal use only -- not gonna sell them. Can anyone pleas

Obviously it was Rod. He was the mastermind of the band. No one did squat without Rod giving the nod. If only they all were so easy.

I see Tarle has a second book, The Box, which seems to be based upon the Stones' stay in France while they recorded the Exile on Main St. LPs. How is The Box different than the out-of-print Exile book published by Genesis a few years back? Thanks.

QuoteGasLightStreet Quotedcba You need to read Tony Sachez book about the Stones. Sanchez, an ethnosociologist approaches the impact the band had on 1960's society. In the last chapter Sanchez switches gears and uses a Junguian/Freudian approach to explore Mick's influence on masculinity through the 70's and 80's, with a touch of French Theory. In short : you really need th

The Exile book with Dominique Tarle's photographs from Genesis Publications is a great deep dive into the Exile-era Stones.

Hey now!!! I love the Grateful Dead. They are undoubtedly the greatest rock and roll band in the world — ever. But I think you know that already, don’t you?

What a blast from the past!!! The guy who started this thread, Sir Craven of Cottage, hasn’t posted anything under that name in six or more years. Another “guy” who posted on this thread, Edith Grove, has not posted under that name for about five years. Who else???

I must admit it is a great deal at $150.00. I bought my copy for $650 over a decade ago. Oh well. I’ll buy a bootleg Ethan Russell print or poster from eBay to take away the sting.

Quotepmk251 It is even better now that you can assemble a complete show from the deluxe edition's extra tracks. A few years ago, you were kind enough to send me a copy of the expanded Ya-Ya’s CD that you had constructed. It hasn’t left my CD player since. Thanks again!!!

QuoteHairball saw the original show twice at the L.A. Sports Arena, 1980 - it set the bar very high as far as all around concert experiences go. That must have been something. I would like to hear more about it. EDITED (TWICE) FOR SPELLING ERRORS

25 years ago? Really? I can still remember when I heard a DJ on DC 101 FM announce that Bill would be leaving the Stones. Seems like only yesterday. But of course you are right. I am just getting old.
